I always support Pakistan Military but I also cannot close my eyes to the truth. Unfortunately, Pakistan is this extreme situation due to extremely bad and short-sighted policies of Zia and then followed by other Army Chiefs meaning ISI following the same disastrous policies !
Yes it was important to Stop USSR but instead of strictly restraining Afghan refugees to specific refuguee Camps, these Afghans were allowed to freely roam inside Pakistan and spread crime like never before. What we see today is a disaster - it is a national emergency thanks to these bad policies of Army.

Imo Pakistan did a master stroke to accept Qatar, China (pressure for talks) and Turkey to talk with Afghanistan. Now these countries will understand that Afghan do not understand or never understood the meaning of peace. At least when Pakistan uses nuke (highly unlikely) or any leathal weapon against Afghanistan or Pak makes Kabaul its weapon test lab than those countries wont bother because today they will understand that each afghan only understand the language of bullet shot on the head or bullseye.

Well, 25 Afghan/TTP terrorists too have been killed. TTA/TTP don't have huge depth in trained soldiers, so they won't be able to afford such losses either.

funny that it all incompetence in my opinion, lack of any cheap surveillance drones and cheap FPV weapons to target those miltants, just shows incompetence and lack of respect for the lives of paramilitary troops, that just results in very low morale

it seems we have just started using drones/something few months ago with drone surveillance but we are still decade behind what the global forces are doing, at this time i won't be surprised if taliban get better at drone war than we are

Pakistan loses a bank of knowledge, tactics, strategy.
