has KPK seceded to Afghanistan already? PTI Chief minsiter didnt waste time. maybe then this chief minister will stop ranting because there wont be anyone to stop TTP from killing his constituents as they will be apart of the Taliban emerate.
Going to see how much Punjab and sindh minister is going to rent if we do an operation in punjab and sindh

On the contrary, that's a handicap for us, vis a vis incubating any meaningful internal challengers to the TTA. America's occupation allowed them to freely arm, train, protect, and support anti-Taliban factions. The nation-building was to enable them to sustain the resistance after the US draw down. All of it failed. Pakistan has known this since before WOT and advised the Americans against it as well. We don't have a fraction of their means.

Our MO will be punitive strikes and economic pressure for every transgression while cultivating internal discord and then hooks within the TTA leadership.

PS: All our routes to Afghanistan are into TTA/Pushtun regions.

I was speaking with regards to the idea of Afghanistan's balkanization.

C'mon, buddy. Back it up.
That's not true.

If you'll recall, after the taliban were ousted, they offered to surrender, and the US rejected the surrender saying that the taliban were already defeated. For the next few years, there were no taliban attacks worth noting, and the Bush administration was bent on turning Afghanistan into a new Switzerland where they could spy on regional nuclear powers.

That means the nation building came before any taliban opposition became reality.

By the way, it failed because the US administration refused to listen to their civilian advisers, and Dick Cheney as well as Donald Rumsfeld both pushed for more trying to Westernize Afghanistan, rather than listen to actual experts who had proper plans put into place.

Remember, the Americans didn't lose militarily. They lost due to civilian incompetence led by the republican planning committees.

I was talking to an Afghan about the situation and he was telling me these were the demands of Pakistanis, can someone confirm it, or was he talking out of his behind?

The Pakistani side demand…

1) You can’t have friendship with India unless we permit it.

2) You can’t have relations with Russia in regards to weapon sale unless we condone it.

3) You can’t have control over your water rights flowing into Pakistan

4) All TTP you have to bring them into Afghanistan and give them dwelling there, and we will facilitate all those channels.

But if it is true, number (3) I can kinda get, there should be water agreements, I am not sure about not having control, but for sure agreements should be there.

Number (4) I somewhat understand the Pakistan side, because TTP, they are a ticking time bomb, why have them around when they are hostile to you and there is bad blood?

Number (1) and (2) is outright subjugation, no sovereign nation would agree to that, and if any nation in the world does, they may as well give up their independence.

Credit to Pakistan diplomacy here. India attacked with no justification and evidence. No talks and no investigation. Attacked and got pomp slapped.

We have had many years and much evidence and went out of our way to negotiate to the point our team was humiliated in Istanbul, we listened to advice of allies, we have Talibs plenty of time and opportunities.

Now we can attack with sense of utter justification. Wipe them all out.

We supported Talibs since their beginnings. We produced many of them out of our own madrassas. We told them they are doing jihad and supported their vision of Shariaa. We forgot that once they control & implement Shariaa in afg then they will support their brothers doing activities across to our border and claim to have same ideology and wants to implement the same in Pakistan. We used to consider Afghanistan as our "Strategic depth" but TTA used TTP as strategic depth inside Pakistan. Epic failure of years of strategy.

Now, its not just military front. We need to tackle & undo the extremism / jihadification that was created with the help of our own past mistakes. As for wipe them all is concerned. That's the problem, we kill 10 then 100 more appears. TTP seems to have no shortage of disposable foot soldiers. So airstrikes alone won't finish them off. But every problem has a solution. We need a solid approach and brilliant people to guide our intelligence services. I always believed primary solution to afghan problem is not the airforce or army but the ISI. We degraded its capabilities in recent decades. it needs to be revamped and show some brilliance.

the Lady is by far the most balanced commentator I have seen so far.

Taliban have begun registering suicide bombers for attacks on Pakistan under a unit called the “Martyrdom Formation.” The team reportedly visited Kabul University, enrolling several students willing to carry out attacks. Similar registration drives have been conducted in other provinces, with over 700 volunteers reportedly listed so far. The Taliban have not yet commented on matter - Aamaj News

Very good for them. We should provide the fireworks for their graduation ceremony.

no all of this is rubbish we just want them to stop supporting ttp and bla , and recognize the Durand line and stop the dream of conquering kpk and Baluchistan

Defend constitution for the start? what you think should be the response?

Enjoyable hyperbole but what do you explicitly suggest the people of Pakistan to do at this very moment with regards to the TTP, TTA, and Afghanistan?

The Tabliban are not going to learn. I knew these savages were the wrong people to support when our Khaki geniuses put their eggs in the taliban basket. All the way back in 2000, the Tabliban kidnapped the visiting Pakistani football team and shaved their heads for wearing (gasp) football shorts where (gasp) the men's s3xually alluring knees were exposed.

We shouldve kicked the $hit out of them at that time but we didn't because muh "strategic depth"

At any rate - the taliban are not going to change especially with the 4 million refugees we have returned after 40 years. (No good deed goes unpunished). Another dumb strategy by our khaki leaders to take the burden of these people for 40 years.

I think there is going to be a war with Afghanistan. This is precisely what India has been hoping. As usual they are going to do everything in their power to take advantage of the situation. The self-proclaimed rehnumma of south asia has done nothing but create chaos in the region. The RSS/BJP is the equivalent of KKK for Muslims although the KKK was never in charge of a nation.

How will we handle a 2-front situation?

Are economy is weak.
We don't have much reserves.
War doesn't require just arms and a battle-hardened people -- it requires money.

my biggest fear is that the same geniuses that came up with strategic depth, operation searchlight, operation grandslam are the ones that are going to see us through this latest conflict.
