There is zero evidence USA or anyone in the West supported Osama Bin Laden directly during the Afghan war. ISI decided who got the money.
Starting in 1993, Osama bin Laden was effectively a terrorist. After 9/11 you had a $25 million bounty on him.
Someone in Pakistan decided to shelter him. Someone in Pakistan snitched on him to the CIA. The rest is history.
