I'm not sure if that message describes the role of Bushra Bibi - a few journalists did report on it but I they mentioned the message asked Aun Chaudhry to not attend without explicitly mentioning that it's Bushra's wish. If the message contains the role of Bushra explicitly then that becomes undeniable evidence of her influence (something that IK would have thought about when sending the message).

Anyhow, that's what I think, despite my disagreements with IK - I don't see him committing such a novice mistake and if he did then that's a red flag for his capability as a political leader

Ah..., let's do a more proper comparison; why not compare yourself against those who started from 1948 onwards; why not compare China after 1949 until 1978 reforms onwards in the last 47 years, it compressed its development to decades, compared to the U.S., the West already worked on laying the foundation, all you had to do was plug and play.

Let me do one better, Singapore after its independence in 1965.

Even better, Israel, born around the same time and population of 9 million, is turning a f_cking desert into a first-world country.

• Singapore is a city-state with a population smaller than Lahore, no internal insurgencies, no hostile neighbors attacking it every decade, and received direct Western investment as a strategic port. It’s not a valid comparison for a 240 million population country sitting in a conflict zone.
• Israel received tens of billions in unconditional military and economic aid, cutting edge Western tech transfers, and complete security cover from superpowers. Pakistan fought multiple wars, faced sanctions, and had to maintain one of the world’s most complex security environments with limited resources.

Pakistan had its Soviet style 5-year economic plan, which was the guiding force, similar to how the Chinese managed their affairs; let's not forget that no matter who was in power from the civilian side, the military ran the show, a single force and invisible hand in Pakistan. You all were doing well until 1970, when that invisible hand's love child went ballistic in his nationalization plan.

Singapore is a hodgepodge of various people united into one country. They had their issues and occupation under Japan, but it wasn't until they got their house in order in the 1960s and started rapid industrialization. They received Western investments because they created the right conditions.

Just like Israel, Pakistan also received economic and military aid from the U.S. and the West. Still, rather than industrializing, you've all squandered it on costly imports in the 1950s and 1960s, during Pakistan's Gold Era, under a pseudo-Field Marshal Ayyub Khan. You squandered this opportunity when others seized it, drove organic growth, and built industries. [The others invested in their population, education, and many nations sent their citizens abroad to study and come back and integrate them within a national policy framework; Pakistan couldn't even handle this most basic of tasks.]

As for the conflicts, the majority of wars started were Pakistan's own failed plans that cost it dearly, with nothing to show after the cessation of hostilities. The issues of militants are your own political policy failures, which you've all still failed to acknowledge.
