An Indian Tejas fighter jet crashed during an aerial display at the Dubai Air Show

If the May 2025 conflict with Pakistan not happened and Trump not constantly bringing up the downed Indian jets, this would be just another crash in an air show. But with this the Indian Airforce is going to be even more discredited.

You can’t lose reputation if you don’t have any in the first place

They do the military part of their job very well, just wish they didnt do what i said on the first line. It is obvious Pakistan Military has worked these 2 decades to get upto speed. Long term Planning and secrecy and finally also using silence and deception very well

It is not just two decades. Pakistan wisely chose the West after Pakistan's foundation in 1947, got the best equipment, best training in Western military schools, established intelligence agencies with input from the West ... There is a reason India had never defeated the then West Pakistan and unable to take the tiny sliver of land of Azad Kashmir from Pakistan since 1949.
Some people here discredit Pakistan's alliance with the West in Pakistan's fledgling early years but they don't know the benefits Pakistan had acquired from being part of the Western world.

First the oil leaks (and IAF literally trying to contain them with shopping bags) and now the crash! Tejas should not be allowed anywhere near air shows - it's just not safe.

India should limit her adventures to land and sea. Flying does not come naturally to these people.
I've said that before, they should focus on UAVs.

I don't know if they're skilled soldiers on land or at sea,but flying isn't their thing.

Not updated yet,but add +1 on the 2025 losses list

India's biggest mistake was being a simp for soviet union

I do not know why they went to the soviet camp , we are seeing now they are barely managing ukraine today, small gains of land. I know its moreso NATO vs Russia and Ukraine is a proxy but it is still embarrassing.

Terrible accident and pilot lost life, sad event.
IAF current operational inventory per Wikipedia:
  • Su-30MKI → ~265
  • Rafale → ~35
  • Tejas Mk1 → ~30
  • MiG-29 UPG → ~60
  • Jaguar → ~90
  • Tejas MK1 36
That's ~ 506 mix role operational fleet

After Dubai crash, IAF will definitely ground MK1, that leaves 480 operational fighters. Even block MK1A induction may face confidence challenge.

Top of the line multirole heavy fighters are 300.
STEPCAT Jaguars are deep strike machines, old, but useful, and their original nuke delivery platform.

With current numbers and placement at many bases, SINDOR 2.O will be difficult and complex operationally, that gives PAK more opportunity to exploit any SINDOR X.

As brought by many posters with knowledge in this field, each manoeuvre is pre-planned and rehearsed. Spur of the moment manoeuvres are unlikely to be executed.

Since the pilot was doing the displays regularly , he would be well aware of all these aspects.

There can be an error due to faulty instruments, mechanical failure or pure simple error of judgement induced by some confusion. One member posted about pilot loosing consciousness due to extreme nature of manoeuvres.
Many of these aspects are likely to become clear after they recover the black box and analyse it.

Can't say I am happy. But we have full experience how Indians openly rejoice celebrate even civilian plane deaths when it comes to Pakistan.
But yes, ss Muslims we are a lot different from them. I can bet even our best of trolls are a lot better than best of sane minds from eastern neighbor when it comes to such incidents.

Remember when the Indians were fantasising and hoping for mass deaths during covid in Pakistan?

Those numbers don't reflect the aircraft shot down by the PAF.

If that's the case, why weren't any other planes leaking condensed water, such as the JF-17?

On Thursday, India’s Press Information Bureau rejected some social media claims alleging that a Tejas aircraft had experienced an oil leak while on display at the air show. In a statement on X, it called the posts “false” and said they were attempts to undermine the “fighter’s proven technical reliability with baseless propaganda.” “The videos show routine, intentional draining of condensed water,” the military said. “This is a standard procedure for aircraft operating in humid conditions, like those in Dubai.” -- Associated Press

Because Indians are ignorant and prideful to the point of hurting themselves. The South Asians Muslims saw how the Western forces used air power in an effective way, they watched German quality forces overcome 5x as many Soviets on the battlefields - and the lesson was learned to align with the West vs with the Soviets. The Soviets depend on numbers to win, the Indians took this lesson post-WW2 where Pakistan took the opposite lessons.

The response by indians online including their so called "defence journalists" goes to show the sub human mentality we're dealing with...every conceivable opportunity is not lost to target Pakistan.

And they started again. They didn't wait 1 day, they started already....
