An Indian Tejas fighter jet crashed during an aerial display at the Dubai Air Show

May the pilot rest in peace. May he be reborn in the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, where all beings are equal and fighter jets are perfect and outstanding.

On March 12, 2024, an Indian Air Force LCA Tejas fighter jet crashed during training; the official conclusion was engine failure.

On November 14, 2025, a similar aircraft crashed into the ground at low altitude with a negative G-force during the Dubai Airshow; The preliminary investigation suspects engine or flight-control anomalies.

No the other one.

They have sent two one leaked one crashed.

PAF tends to send 3 planes if it is doing a static display and a flying display, with the 3rd acting as a hot standby for the flying display. That way, it is easier to pull a plane if there is any doubt. That does not seem to be the approach for the IAF and one they should adopt, as it reduces the urgency to send out a plane and provides backups for safety.

Indians were boasting about the "confident" stance of their people and the humble posture of the Pakistani officer in this photo. Always maintain humility is the lesson to be taken away by all.
Horrific - may the family of the pilot find patience
I had a foreboding feeling something was going to happen this airshow and was actually afraid a JF-17 would go down or otherwise - a situation of “too much celebration”. Unfortunately it came true.
The issue is that these crashes can happen to anyone, anywhere. Our political situation between the two countries is so hyper-charged that people forget these facts of life and something that would normally deserve nothing but sympathy/empathy becomes a point-scoring opportunity.

I lost a cousin to a Mirage V accident many years ago (RIP). Those who are close to such things realize that politics are simply BS when you think about the cost the families have to bear when they go through this.

I expect Indians will now push to focus on AMCA, in the mean time, additional foreign procurement. This plan serves both HAL and IAF, and release some additional money for the corrupt politicians.
F35 is a great plane, Indians should opt for it. Its time when Americans milk them.

F-35 is a White Elephant of a great plane. Just a couple of days ago this forum talked about the issues even the UK is facing in maintenance, so what to speak of the Indian Air Force.
Also, a sensible, careful analyst like PAF's Khalid Chisti is saying that India is already '10-15 years behind Pakistan' in air warfare. For India to develop a capable jet on its own is going to take a long time and, unfortunately for India, Russia can't supply much due to Russia's own current problems. So what's left are the Western sources like France or America. And Trump almost certainly knows India's precarious situation and Trump is a ruthless businessman and he is going to MILK India while he is able to.

Genuinely such a bizarre cope especially because the thunder has flown in DAS multiple times without incident

You know you would feel sad over someone losing their life doing their job.

But considering how F**ked up and vile these bhindians are and how they were celebrating deaths on Pakistani side in May 2025, I wish nothing but karma on them.

This is that Karma biting them in the ass.

What an embarrassment.

Tejas is what should be taught as project management failure for generations to come.

jf 17 smoked s 400 in real ew hot environment . dnt insult the thunder by comparing it to tejas.

The last few seconds on the video I saw show him completing a low level barrel roll - regardless of the rate it is still very dangerous at that altitude.

It doesn’t seem like the aircraft either has an issue or otherwise. Im not sure where he was looking but perhaps he misjudged the terrain cues - to @Ak01 point you’re not on instruments and in the last seconds it seems like he was not expecting terrain.

a barrel roll at that hight is not dangerous, it is suicidal. Even if the pilot had survived, he would have been grounded and punished.

I am sorry, but what celebration does Tejas has? I mean, sure PAF has had this year to celebrate after thrashing IAF, but Tejas? That's a failure from every point.

We lost F-16 previously and along with a very experienced pilot which was a true sad moment.

This piece of shit failure project deserves nothing.

I really hoped the pilot could have survived. Not his fault how his organization is being run.

8-0 in May
Air India Crash
Jaguar Crash and other crashes
Now Tejas crashes in front of the world.

This is pure karma.
