The officers reflect the institution. The military is old and stuck in thr past, metaphorically fat and weak, and without the discipline to improve itself.

They are old desk jockies. They are not running around the battlefield. I hope they are generally healthy but they don't need to be combat fit. That's just low level nit picking to me!

combat fit is one thing, obese is another. they are the heads of the institution and need to set an example

Have you seen senior officers in Professional NATO militaries? I guess they are not "professional" in your opinion either? Ever heard of Norman Schwarzkopf?

Fair lol during gulf war lol but definitely agree you should lead by example I lost 65 pounds in 3 years I was not healthy looking at all I go walking personally I also don’t want to set a bad example for my children

You don't "lighten the mood" by insulting commanders who have sacrificed their entire adult life( including fighting in an 8 year long war) in the service of Iran and the Islamic Revolution. In the U.S is it acceptable to make fun of War veteran active military commanders in this fashion? Well maybe if you are an A**hole like Pete Hegseth, it is!
