He is a security risk so how about NO.

He is lucky they didn't press for high treason.

Outside of KPK he is not as popular as you think.
High treason is what army officers who violated their oaths should be charged with. I would also consider same army as security risk.

If IK was as unpopular as you claim he would not be in jail and treated so harshly.

only popular outside Pakistan lmao , inside Pakistan no one care anymore
If nobody really cared about Imran Khan inside Pakistan, neither would the Establishment. The 200% focus on IK suggests otherwise.

The West using IK issue to pressure Establishment is also an indicator of his popularity.

(Hazrat Asim Munir) who put him there? 🙄

Get his name right.

Field Marshal, COAS, CDF Gen Syed Asim Munir Shah.

in for crime related to politics > so he cant discuss politics
when a mafios goes to jail , do they let him run his gang , No they don't

Discussing politics should be okay and even barking the same old non-sense which has been done by Imran since April 2022 should be okay too. What has he achieved with that? Domestically can't make a difference and since India's Operation Sindoor, the Pakistani foreign relations have been stronger then in decades. No country is coming to pressure Pakistan over Imran. The Cultists were hoping a Trump Presidency would help but nah. No foreign govt is asking to give relief to the Messiah Khan. No one is offering to take him into their country.
The tempest in the teacup's only pressure point left is using the ethnic blackmail and the resources of the K-P govt. But I honest wish he be sent to some Saroor Palace in Saudi Arabia, treated well there, allowed visits by family members and be GAGGED from media appearances for at least ten years.

…be GAGGED from media appearances for at least ten years.
Military establishment & their touts wet dream since 2022! Not gonna happen! IK is never gonna do Baiat of Hazrat Asim Munir for another 100 years even!

We may agree that what he is doing is not right, but I will specifically point out, and defend, IK's right to do whatever he thinks serves him the best. He is facing a difficult situation, made worse by his own choices, but whatever he can try to to help himself, of course he is entitled to do it.
Whether he succeeds in it or not remains to be seen. The better players will win. Like always.

You know the saying: Give them enough rope to hang themselves with! Not only in principle I agree with your post but also pragmatically speaking: Imran Khan, his sisters, his expat supporters either here or those fugitive journalists--all of them should reach out to global media, especially Indian media and target Pakistan as much as they want to. Their rhetoric, their blaming the Americans then backpaddling on that, their embracing the Establishment then blaming the Establishment... everything points toward a 'mob' not a 'political party'.
And I especially LOVED Imran's sisters speaking on Indian media--a folly which his saner party members didn't like but a folly Imran condoned--just to protect his sisters. Tells you something about the 'brain' behind the Cult.

You are right. Except for some in K-P, no one cares. I was in Pakistan for a month about three months ago and hardly heard 'Imran Khan'.

The reason he is behind the bars, along with his crimes, for which he has been convicted, is because IF he comes out, he will repeat the pattern of marching on Islamabad again and again. He is a menace to Pakistan's security and economy and what is unfolding in Pakistan is power consolidation and restructuring to ensure stability, focus and continuity of policies for several years; on that, Imran can't be allowed to interfere with. Pakistani ruling classes have decided to revive the economy in this 'do or die situation' at all cost. And I see the gains for Pakistan in terms of economy due to the enhanced geopolitical circumstances due to India's Operation Sindoor.

Exactly. The same holds true for his rabid cultits here on PDF too in a certain way. They themselves will discredit each and every thing they claim to stand for by their own virulence.

The interesting part is that I agree with them that the military has interfered in politics in a big, persistent and illegal way. But the solutions are definitely not what they think are the solutions. In fact, what they are trying to do is only making things worse, not only for themselves, but for the country they claim to love as well.

The solutions need careful thought and gradual implementation. But the rabidity of that cult is such that even saying that makes this point of view, rational and sane as it is, a target for attack.

What a pity.
