Is it me or I would’ve thought Pakistan would attempt to develop their own attack helicopter even if it’s some kind of split with the Chinese in the beginning like with the jf 17

UAV/Drones are the future and Pakistan is investing in that capability thankfully.

My thought is Field trials and tests prior to the full batch. The last 3 Z-10s were sent with an entire book worth of change requests and this one needs to be proven as well before the batch comes through.

Not abnormal - partly also because you cannot simulate Pakistan’s environment in China. Especially the desert and its demands.

Happy to be corrected by someone more knowledgeable.

What for?
This has been and still to a large extent is Pakistan’s procurement motto - “build only when nothing is available off the shelf or when there is a risk of sanctions”

Not sure if indeed actually a PAA one and even more I'm actually not sure how recent this image is but it seems to show a Z-10ME in white primer. ... at first sight it almost looked like a naval variant!
