33 years of military rule couldn’t achieve anything…. When you have 100% control over country(excluding hybrid/indirect puppet rule) … the territorial problems always existed and will continue to exist… this is where Number 1 should work and not in foreign policies or politics…. Or mineral, finance etc.. land grab under CORPORATE FARMING and shyt
You can try to hide the incompetence of the civilian government behind the military, but Pakistan for the most part (besides Zia ul Haq's time and Musharraf's era years) has always operated under a hybrid model.

This is not the topic, advise you read the history of these terror group. We used TTP and Afghan Taliban to topple Ghani govt. When US raid intensifies these Afghan Taliban used to take refuge in TTP protected sanctuaries along Pak-Afghan border. Now where should we look ? . You feed the dog , now you are trying to kill the dog , which is now Bull dog.
US govt knows very well, our Generals played the role for US ejection from Afghanistan and they are extremely upset and soon they will come after this betrayal....sooner or later.
They lost listen post against , Iran, China and Russia.
All of the problems between Pakistan and Afghanistan stem from Afghanistan not accepting the Durand Line as the international border since our independence in 1947.

If they had accepted it, Pakistan and Afghanistan would have great relations. Despite Pakistan suffering from Afghan sponsored terrorism; we never closed our border with landlocked Afghanistan, which we had very much the right to do.

So it is very much the topic at hand.

Pehli baat, tameez say bat kia karo.

I can go much harder than Imrandu for you. Argue the topic.

Secondly, so which businesses, sugar mills, cement factories, and all other industrial concerns does he have?

The man is rich, who is denying that? He is an elite of Pakistan, who is denying that? But his elitism is through cricket and other activities, not leeching the public from sugar subsidies and corrupt IPP contracts. But I don't expect you to understand such nuances. To zyada zor mat lagana damagh par

Let us never forget that IK's personal wealth was only a small part of what made SKMH. His real leadership was in motivating people all across Pakistan and indeed the world to donate for not only its construction, but even provide state of the art oncologic care for anyone regardless of their ability to pay.

That legacy shall live on, no matter what, and the nation owes him a huge debt for that, no doubt.

I have pointed out previously that he should have carried that immense momentum of good will forward during his tenure to concentrate on improving the health and education of the nation before tackling other issues. And he did start taking some steps such as the Sehat Card and additional educational institutions.

But sadly, he went after too much in other areas too quickly. I still wonder what he could have achieved for social development had he remained focused on his greatest asset: to motivate a distinctly hard-to-motivate nation for those particular purposes.

The resettling of TTP terrorists was Army strategy and follows a long long pattern of negotiating peace deals with militants, that include letting them stay in Pakistan and even paying them. It was happening before and after Imran Khan. The first of these deals was with Nek Muhammad, the pro-TTP around 2002. This is part of "good Taliban, bad Taliban".

The Durand Line is a British creation, just like India and Pakistan.
Read the last lines, ladies and gentlemen. And i am reported for use the word “Afghandu” when this word was used by multiple users on the khbyer storm thread. Its shocking that now on this forum, Pakistan and its borders are abused day and night and we are told to shut up.

Durand line is a reality, suck it up. If you think Pakistan is a British creation then go back to whichever country you consider authentic. Go to Afghanistan, we know where your loyalties lie.

Thats why i will never support PTI because its always exploited by these etho nationalist swines. Screw them and screw anyone who supports this disgusting narrative. Cry and whine, and scream and Taliban Khan will stay in jail as he should. We will also kick all the afghandus from our land, just enjoy the show. I know you can only crib on the internet.

They were always in control. It’s just now it has come to surface full naked, thanks to a mentally ill person in-charge. 🙄

Not always. This is why they had to remove many governments due to major differences, had major issues with Iftikhar Chaudary, with Nawaz Sharif etc. Only under military rule they were in charge and now have managed to change the state structure. I am hopeful they will soon go back to the barracks and allow free and fair elections, stay away from politics as Dgipsr keeps on saying the army has nothing to do with politics.

Disagree but I can talk with logic in here….
Very basic logic…
the same tribes were on our side there was no threat in the past from durand side…. Even in our so called Pakistan Studies there was mention of all these tribes and how they were key to our defense in those areas… they were deemed heroes who fought side by side for Pak…. (as long as we didn’t become hostile towards them)…. The defended us against soveits as well.. then who’s policy brought the drone strikes i wonder? Who allowed other nations safe passage to invade another country?
many Pakistani army factions joined those tribal ranks of labelled TTP against these policies … this was ridiculous for cowardly germnail to tell nation that they said either you with us or against us and he peed in his pants gave a base and secure route to invade another country….
If all above decisions were made by elected politicians i wonder…!

Its only possible when he is out of jail. He is in solitary confinement for the last 2 years without case. From Idat case to any case..PML, PPP, JUIF - Few Generals did all possible attack, but no outcome .. And now this press conference....reflects extreme frustration ....

Its a big mistake to do press conferences, IK is in jail and Pti is facing the state full force. Its better for them to completely ignore Pti and IK, noone can hear or see IK, only his sister mentioned what he said and suddenly we get press conference.

This narrative is wrong with no proof or record…. You can keep repeating it all you want… the terrorism index in those 3 year speak volume…. The incapable army couldn’t achieve peace in decades of ‘land grabbing’ operations and IK brought peace by just one master stroke of stopping drone attacks and bringing all parties to table… US ran away as well and the chosen army think they can somehow win?
Yes they can as i pointed out before they will try to use izryeli model and do a genocide…. Anything for masters…

Incidents and fatalities of terrorism had already decreased sharply post Operation Zarb-e-Azb in 2014:

In 2017, 1 year before IK's reign as PM, Pakistan had much lower casualties from terrorism from the prior years as well.

In fact, in 2020 and 2021, number of incidents and casualties from terrorism started rising from 2018, showing his strategy of reconciling with the TTP were not working.

I am looking forwards to the day Pakistanis drag them on the streets and met out true justice to their self centred good for nothing behinds.

Pakistan will be the next Syria Libya and Yemen then. The world powers will 100% come in, especially our GCC pals and make us toothless. The only path forward is peace talks and forgive and forget. If the army holds press conferences against IK then what is the issue of having direct talks. To be fair it was Imran Khan who refused talks at the beginning, Bajwa was ready to talk and now IK is in jail and wants direct talks but establishment is refusing.

It seems PPP and PMLN refused to host the press conference. This press conference is outcome of ongoing massive frustration among these groups.

The whole “we are from you but untouchable” is not going to go well.
The only way holy cows exist is via oppression otherwise they go away.

Oppression can work only if you provide immense growth and wealth - aka Egypt.
Considering SIFC is dead - and other ventures are fluff in the air - how do they intend to apply the Egyptian model?

Im going to put a very odd thought out there:
If FM General Admiral Air Marshal Hafiz sir can create rivers of honey and milk in Pakistan, nay - just ensure no one goes hungry - then he has my support for life and egoistic buffoons like IK can rot away.

However, considering what the situation currently is and where it seems to be going - all we’ve done is watch one egoistic buffoon be replaced by an entire plethora of them.

پاکستان کا صرف اللّٰہ ہی حافظ تھا ، ہے اور رہے گا

باقی سارے چور ہیں سالے

Its counter productive for the army. If the situation does not improve under establishment backed PDM in the next 10 years then who will the people point fingers at? Who will they blame?. Since the army has total control of the state, they have immunity for the Marshal sahib, they must now hold peace talks with Pti leadership, defuse the tension, then allow free and fair elections, let the civilians sort out their mess and blame each other, not our paak and saaf institutions.

It is sad to see what has become of Imran Khan. He is a nobody now internationally, a nobody in Pakistan. Besides a few diehard supporters, no one will come out for him. Support for the Pakistan Armed Forces, in light of terrorism from Afghanistan; and the PTI siding with Afghanistan on the matter: means that people will stand for the Armed Forces, and not in favor of Imran Khan/PTI.

He will sadly rot in jail due to his own mistakes.

Remember, lots of great leaders killed and died in jail but never compromise on there principle. All he wanted rule of Law in this country and independent policy. Now we are getting what we deserve in the shape of Munir-PPP-PMLN regime.

Credit where due…Raheel sharif’s policy of soft power, combined with offered skills to ones giving up arms while swiftly conducting ops was something i supported at that time no doubt…. But it was same policy as employed by Imran khan later he just amplified it and called on all the people who joined resistance to give up arms and be part of progressive mainstream society taking shape….. he also stopped drone attacks which lessened the likelihood of people to resist
