Not the initial units coming for PN. They are transport versions only
2.5 million a piece, piston engine aircrafts which don't even have landing gear retraction.,

So 6 cylinder piston engines which are very easy to repair and purpose built for short flights.

Good for hopping between different PN bases along the coast i guess?

The local market for such an aircraft type is very limited in Pakistan and does not make business sense.

Well - there is obviously an export market for a product of that category as we can see!

In such business models export is secondary to local demand which at this time does not exist. Plus its diffuclt to compete with the already established international prop aircraft makers who have sold millions of aircrafts worldwide

Seats are removable, so it can also be used as a cargo carrier to various remote PN bases as well both in peace and wartime. This will reduce PN dependency on PAF C130's for the same purpose

There are many aircraft in the same category that are far more widespread, but the babu mind manages to find the most niche one, unless this was part of a larger buy from Leonardo

Not a bad buy. PN/SSGN/Pak Marines will have very light and short ranged requirements, these planes look both low cost to buy and operate.

Anything heavy and PAF has a new C-130 Sqd set up at Faisal and PN has a couple of non-MPA ATR-72s. Something small and cheap was needed for para traning or small recce team drops etc

VVIP use

2-3m is very low cost

Not really. Obviously we dont know the exact requirements for the PN that led to this acquisition but there are relatively simmilar cheaper options as well

its ok, i guess for a new build, but you can get far superior airframes for the same price used, hence why the PAF/PN bought used.

Or infact, the 208 caravan is a far, far superior plane.
