Tech giant compared to who? Afghanistan? Painting Russian missiles doesn’t make you a tech giant. You have been trying to produce the LCA Tejas for 4 decades plus, and still uncertain what its future is.

The Indian space program is a credible program that Indians should feel proud about but the Indian military tech is seriously underwhelming.

'90% engineers can’t code': Founder says he fires new hires within weeks; Reddit slams hiring process, not coders​

A 2021 NASSCOM study found that only 1.5% of Indian engineers can write functionally correct code. Think about that — a program with 170 credits, 3000+ hours of teaching over FOUR years is failing to equip students with the skills employers need.

A McKinsey report said just a quarter of engineersNSE -2.55 % in India were actually employable. Of late, some other studies put it at less than 20%. Recently, a survey by employability assessment firm Aspiring Minds said 95% of Indian engineers can’t code.

In May 2022, Sudha Murty, the chairperson of Infosys Foundation, lamented that 85% of engineering graduates are not immediately employable.

In Australia, universities extend Indian student ban amid visa fraud concerns​

The move comes as rejection rates for Indian applicants across all Australian universities have soared to their highest level in a decade, with one in four applications now being deemed as “fraudulent” or “non-genuine” by the Department of Home Affairs.

For serious members questioning my reasoning for posting the above, recall what the Indians say about JF17s and our own missile programmes.

We are simply responding in kind. Causing them a nuisance.

When will India send someone to space. I wonder which one of these will come first, India build a fifth gen fighter, India send a man to space, India become a superpower, or India build enough toilets for its people. I’m not sure which one will come first. But I can bet the toilets will come last.

Is this one of those feel good threads, does it really matter what you start with, we know it's going to end up about ceos of Indian origin or something

By the way, the Chinese would be offended the way you group China and India for tech. China produces real technolog.
