No aerial refueling. This is a J-10CE owned by CATIC. It is primarily used for public displays and to provide prospective customers with a hands-on experience. Can you spot the subtle differences between it and the PAF's J-10CE?

No other SOW used. Decision was taken not to employ ALCMs.CM400 was the main SOW used? or some other sticks were employed too.
Fair enough... I may be wrong but I think we will see a couple of IOC J-35 in Pakistan for evaluation in 2026.Arent chinese aiming for IOC in 2027 trying to buy them before they have even achieved operational capability in china is really just dumb and not going to happen because the PLAN desperately needs the first 50 or so naval variants for their own carriers and after that both PLAN and PLAAF need to equip their first landbased brigades. Optimistically id say that only after their first 150 or so Chinese requirement fighters are built will they entertain building PAF orders so i dont expect induction before 2030 unless something drastic really does happen
SAC completed the manufacturing of the FC-31/J-35(Export version) fighter jet, intended for evaluation by international customers, a long time ago. This fighter jet has also publicly performed several test flights. Only after PAF places a formal order will SAC begin the work of customizing the FC-31/J-35 fighter jet for the PAF. Before that, only a publicly available evaluation version exists.Fair enough... I may be wrong but I think we will see a couple of IOC J-35 in Pakistan for evaluation in 2026.
A year or so for thorough testing and then some PAF requirements will be given to Chinese. By end 2027, they will be completed and first 4-6 aircraft will be inducted in 2028.
With a block building approach, rest of them will be completed by 2030.
This is just my personal analysis and can be completely off. Things will become more clear in a year or so.
What major difference Export version of J35 have other then languageSAC completed the manufacturing of the FC-31/J-35(Export version) fighter jet, intended for evaluation by international customers, a long time ago. The problem is that, to date, there has been no concrete news, even through unofficial channels, of any orders placed by the PAF.
We can't ignore the chance of another misadventure from Indian..I dont think there is an urgent need for F-35. Do you?
May be PAF already planned 3rd Sqr of J10s in coming years, Do not want to make public...Not sure about the future but for now this is the plan. After a couple of years, a decision for 3rd J-10C sqn may or may not be taken. I think it will depend on progress of PFX and what is its status by 2027.

Well put......if I may add , we have deterrence capabilities at all levels and domains of warfare . For the first time in history we have achieved deterrence capabilities in the geo / political arena....it may sound preposterous to many and probably to you too but I firmly believe in it .Let's keep Nuclear Deterrence and IWT abeyance out of it for now. Otherwise, we will continue to expand the topic without any conclusion.
Pakistan and India are not equal in size. India will continue to attack Pakistan whenever they think they can win. Deterrence simply means that I was on the lower rung of escalation ladder, didn't need to use cruise missiles and still denied India from achieving its goals and brought it to cease fire. Meanwhile, I have shown the whole world that even with my weak economy and issues with internal security, I am still a military peer competetitor to India and a net stabilizer in region. Moreover, it is clear that Pakistan is a more responsible and rational nuclear state than India.
These achievements are clear by Pakistan's recent rise in geopolitical standing. If you think we can completely stop India from attacking us in future, that is not possible unless we match them economically.
So, Deterrence simply means that we thwart their attacks by inflicting more damage and show them that we have the capability to take them on.
This is clear to Indian government and military now, even though not to the people. For now, Indians will not try anything irrespective of public pressure due to fear of losing more jets and equipment.

On the contrary, I agree with you about all points.Well put......if I may add , we have deterrence capabilities at all levels and domains of warfare . Yes, it is quite possible.May be PAF already planned 3rd Sqr of J10s in coming years, Do not want to make public...
Might waiting for few more improvement or integration in J10
I think there is a plan for evaluation of J-35 in Pakistan. It will also clarify the practical requirements for infrastructure modifications too.SAC completed the manufacturing of the FC-31/J-35(Export version) fighter jet, intended for evaluation by international customers, a long time ago. This fighter jet has also publicly performed several test flights. Only after PAF places a formal order will SAC begin the work of customizing the FC-31/J-35 fighter jet for the PAF.
