Bouts of such brinkmanship are fairly common. As long as there is no need for open hostilities, the rest can be worked out over time between all sides involved.

Emergency Action Messages (EAMs) are messages transmitted from a ground station or an airborne command post (E-4B Nightwatch or E-6B Mercury (sometimes also called TACAMO)) to nuclear forces in the air or underwater (B-52s or nuclear capable submarines for example).

These messages can be anything from flight plans, weather information, etc. to launch orders, which you are highly unlikely to hear, as USAF comms go secure in times of emergencies or strikes against other countries from what we have been able to tell.

If this is trump standing down than he blinked first simple American forces are a lot easier to hit than Israel and Iran has shown in Iraq then they hit those bases they can hit with pinpoint accuracy it isn’t the issue of hitting targets a thousand miles away in Israel and even there they have shown a fair amount of accuracy trump forces would have done a lot of damage but Iran would have gave as much back in the short term against trump forces(I honestly feel bad saying American soldiers because let’s be honest they don’t want to die for a war they do t believe in)

Yeah all of a sudden they start to slowly creep their forces back into play let’s see what they do at the security council try to authorize un action seems unlikely china and Russia would most likely veto that but he could also say look we went to the un now we have to act unilaterally….possibility but why not with Palestinians like in America Black lives don’t matter neither do Palestinians only oil matters
