Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

That was really nice of your commanders.
Inspite of bases and radars getting destroyed with sub-metric accuracy they decided to stand down.
Inspite of bases getting bombed , was India making calls.

Dil bahut badaa hai aapke commanders ka. May they keep having such a big heart.
Not a single radar was lost -
Base hits were pretty clear as well in terms of what was hit and what was spoofed.

However, there is an entire aspect of restraint I have outlined along with hnn.
That goes well beyond being able to or not or have or not hitting targets.
Even your commanders have alluded to this in their public speaking in an odd sheepish fashion talking to measured responses.

Because at the end no one despite paper strengths or actual performance is truly prepared with any actual plan in case things go totally out of control.

We'll end up becoming a Chinese client state to maintain this arms race
But it's not like we have another choice, unfortunately

Over the next 25 years, Russia is projected to evolve into a Chinese client state, increasingly dependent on Beijing for its strategic survival. This transformation is already visible as Russia relies heavily on Chinese imports for the microelectronics and components critical to its missile and drone programs.

Beyond the battlefield, the partnership has expanded into high stakes sectors like intelligence sharing and space technology, where China now provides the senior expertise. As China pulls ahead in the development of advanced stealth technology, the traditional military power balance is shifting; Russia may soon find itself in the unprecedented position of having to purchase Chinese platforms, such as the J-35 stealth fighter, or the underlying technology to modernize its own aging fleet.

For India, the start of 2026 feels like a moment of deep, uncomfortable reflection. For decades, New Delhi relied on a reliable balancing act, but that ground is shifting. The warm "bromance" between Prime Minister Modi and Donald Trump has hit a wall of cold economic reality, with new U.S. trade penalties making India feel less like a partner and more like a target.

At the same time, India is grieving the loss of its "oldest friend." As Russia leans further into China's embrace for survival, the historic bond with Moscow is fraying, leaving India to watch warily as its long term ally aligns with its biggest rival who also happens to be Pakistan’s closest supporter.

This sense of being cornered is sparking a difficult conversation back home. Many feel that the current "hardline" approach has left India increasingly lonely on the world stage. To break this cycle, there is a growing call for a radical change in heart, reaching out to Pakistan. The idea is that by opening a real dialogue and even supporting Pakistan’s seat at the BRICS table, India could transform a hostile neighborhood into a manageable one. It’s a move from pride to pragmatism suggesting that for India to truly lead again, it must first find a way to make peace with the reality of its surroundings.

India faces mounting internal strain as hate speech and violence against Muslims intensify. In 2025, 1,318 incidents of hate speech were recorded a sharp rise concentrated in BJP led states. This rhetoric has already turned deadly, with at least 50 Muslims killed through mob attacks and extrajudicial operations, and over 4,000 Bengali speaking Muslims expelled in organized campaigns.

Experts warn this is not isolated unrest but the normalization of violence, framing nearly 200 million Muslims as “enemies.” While parallels are drawn to Gaza, analysts stress that India’s Muslim population is far larger and deeply integrated, meaning any escalation would not only be catastrophic domestically but could destabilize South Asia and reshape global alliances.

Indians want us not to focus or talk about the wreckage of their every single top of the line fighter jets , Mirage 2000, Rafael , SU 30 and Mig 29 strewn across their side of the border and ignore tons of videos and eye witnesses and live reports and instead talk about few holes they managed to make and believe that every hole was a nuclear storage site or F16 underground parking space ……

Pathetic pathetic group of people ….

I have no doubts about eagerness of both sides to stand down.
However, I do disagree with the narrative peddled by many that one side had complete domination while otherwise was getting decimated.
My comment was for those who propose that line of thinking.

That was really nice of the Vishwaguru. Saluting President Trump saying "Yes sir will do." 🫡 When President Trump said ,
"8 planes have been shot down. Now stop it or I won't trade with you ".
It was even nicer of AVM Bharti to say "Losses are inevitable in any operation "., even though IDF air operations commanders would disagree.

In short, India has been humiliated to the bone.

France sees India as a cash cow and India wants France so they can provide technology for their AMCA, LCA and jet engine technologies. This explains ridiculous price for mere 150~ Rafales.
J-10 is Rafale F3 killer and J35 will be Rafale F4 F5 killers 🫡

It will be interesting to see if the RBE-2XG radar is any good in detecting stealth at 200km, or if is snake oil/vapourware like Spectra was. One to watch.

The F4 variant will bring networking, data fusion and datalinks to the equation, and so will is a significant upgrade for India. I still maintain that all India needs is the Global Eye to form a network centric aerial kill chain around a large fleet of Rafales. That won't be the same as the multi-domain network centric kill chain that Pakistan has, but a significant upgrade and better than the patchwork sh*t show they currently have.

The capability of F4 is significant for India, and while the PL15E will outreach the Meteor, the F5 variant will bring with it "new weapons", so we don't know what that will be yet. I wouldn't write off the Rafale that easily imho. They will be a counter for it from China for sure.

The fact that France has recently purchased the Global Eye is significant to me, as you can be sure they will fully integrate that platform with the Rafale, and the Indian's will get that integration work on their Rafales which will replicate the setup that Pakistan has for aerial CEC engagement if they then go on to get the Global Eye.

Yes, there is some "is'ism", but that "if" and "is'ism" is around only one platform, ie GlobalEye.

I appreciate the Rafale order is not a done deal yet, but I will be astounded if it does not make it all the way to completion. There is too much of an issue that the IAF has right now, for that to not get signed off and I do think the Indian government and opposition know that.

PAF is looking at the Kaan also. So, diversification is there. The role of the Americans will come to an end in the PAF with the passing of the F16 fleet though.

We are now witnessing the gradual acceptance from Indian officials of 6 jets shotdown in May ....I am sure with the passage of time, the other indian claims will be busted by your own Indians....just came across a YouTube Vlog where a gentleman claimed Brahmos missile failed to strike on targets in operation sindoor 1.0.

If India dominated even by a little migraine....it would have conducted operation sindoor 2.0....
