Why is cricket and dollars from gambling more important than independence and sovereignty?
If Bangladesh and Pakistan have to chase the money then why can't they play international soccer with China instead? Or better still American Base Ball or Football.
Major League Baseball (MLB) is a premier, multibillion-dollar industry, with the 2024 season generating a record
$12.1 billion in revenue .

Why play cricket with India in a set-up to provide Empire gladiator style humiliation of visiting teams in rigged matches to prop up the hyper-nationalist Hindutva fascist propaganda. Germany tried that in the Munich Olympics of 1936 and the next Olympics was boycotted in the midst of a world war.
It is like some one saying, I love my private company job, salary doesn't matter to himself whatever he is getting. But interesting point to note that might he not capable to get the new job itself.. so these words are fine to satisfy himself

Now we are waiting to see if Pakistan also withdraws.

First it felt like, “Come on, go ahead, I’m with you—do the fighting.”

Today, Pakistan’s media is suddenly jumping up and down, saying that they might withdraw as well. Everyone is just waiting for an official statement from the PCB.

Otherwise, the BCB will end up singing a different tune later—calling others traitors and acting betrayed.

both Pakistan and BD should boycott. India can then show the world they cant organise a piss down in a toilet and other countries will get all cricket loving nations in the WC when they host it. That comparison alone will damage BCCI image and revenues.

They can't able do against plying UAE when they were sounding the same time that remove the umpire else will not play,

Still they played under the same umpire with propaganda mute video.

If anyone expecting they can do in icc event, I would like to see it

Your reply makes now sense, can you respond using grammar properly? I literally do not know how to answer.

First add - no sense please, else seems what I said, you understood!

Make your point. Do you even have one?

I for one am glad India making a public spectacle of messing up this WC.

It will make the case stronger for no major tournaments to be play in India moving forward.

Your hypocritical little qom should have withdrawn from the ICC trophy instead of playing in Dubai.

How quickly Indians forget the precedents they themselves set.

We will not - waiting official statement from pcb

Pcb ne bcb ko already marwa diya hai - tum aage chalo fight karo, I will join... Now I m waiting for them to join

This is great, India hosting a WC with none of it's neighbours playing.

India should be stripped of this and whole thing should move to UAE

Ahem. But their development stage sure was subsidised by the government.

Anyway, BCB or any othe Sports Federation for the matter, if were asked to pay rent on the gov. infrastructure & facilities they use, on a market rate, they will be bankrupt within months.

Now that's something for "no subsidies
Correct. ! Subsidies from Bangladeshi taxpayers money to fund oligarch Hindutva billionaires running a rigged match gambling racket to broadcast Hindutva propaganda supremacy. Doesn't make sense,

Do you think it has the IQ to comprehend what you just said?
No, I do not.

But watching him droning on like droid sure is enjoyable.

More than cricket, tbh. 😆
Indian cricket council overestimating itself. Globally cricket is a dying sport any more it will just be India alone playing it.
And they wil still be proud of it. May even beat their "56 inch sina" like kingkong smh.

I hear they sell IPL matches to gambling apps on an auction. Shameful.

In the good old "Aman Ki Aasha " days, cricket lovers were given temporary visas to travel to rival countries to support their teams, Now, the ICC-IPL and BCCI are run by fascist manipulative thugs using cricket as a propaganda tool to promote their ideology. The environment is so surcharged that no Bangladeshi even if given a visa will dare travel to India to cheer their teams, It is a matter of time before the crazed hooligans in the stadiums lynch players of visiting teams when despite all odds they win the match. This nearly happened when the Pakistani under 19 hockey team defeated India in Bhubhaneshwar, The filthy abuse hurled at them from the stands was caught on live streaming video.

Considering that India generates 80 percent of the revenue for global cricket. India can do it alone if it needs to, just like American football.

But i don't think we will need too.

Pakistan not to boycott T20 World Cup in solidarity with Bangladesh

  • Pakistan will not boycott the T20 World Cup to show solidarity with Bangladesh
  • Revised schedule and group swap unlikely
  • The BCB has until 5 pm (Dubai time) on January 21 to inform the ICC about their course of action

Pakistan will not boycott the T20 World Cup to show solidarity with Bangladesh if the ICC rejects the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) plea to move their matches out of India.

Asked if Pakistan, too, would pull out of the ICC event, starting on February 7, if Bangladesh’s matches aren’t shifted out of India, a source close to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) told RevSportz: “Nope, this is not the PCB’s stand.”

He added: “Pakistan don’t have any ground to do so, for the ICC would tell the PCB that they are already playing their matches in Sri Lanka. People just float such things to fire up the issue.”

A story is doing the rounds that Bangladesh/BCB has reached out to their Pakistani counterpart for diplomatic and cricket support in the ongoing standoff with the ICC. After Mustafizur Rahman’s removal from the IPL, the BCB had sent a letter to the world body, urging that Bangladesh’s matches in the T20 World Cup be moved out of India as they have “security and safety” concerns of their players, staff and officials. They failed to show any valid security reasons and the ICC security team’s assessment found “nil to negligible” security threats at Indian venues.

The BCB, prompted by the Bangladesh government, however, is sticking to its stand of not sending the team to India and at the latest meeting with an ICC delegation, it proposed a group swap. The grapevine has it that the BCB suits put forward a proposal that Bangladesh would be going to Group B, with Ireland coming to Group C. “Among other points, the possibility of moving Bangladesh to a different group as a means of facilitating the matter with minimum logistical adjustments was discussed,” stated the BCB press release.

The Group B matches will be played in Sri Lanka, but it is learnt that Ireland have received assurances from the ICC that they won’t be forced to change the group. Bangladesh are scheduled to play three of their group league matches in Kolkata and another one in Mumbai.

The ICC is unlikely to revise the schedule and the ball is in the BCB’s court now. They have until 5 pm (Dubai time) on January 21 to inform the ICC about their course of action. Should Bangladesh decide to skip, not only do they risk forfeiting points, they might have to face pecuniary consequences as well. Not turning up for the World Cup would be a breach of the participation clause, and it’s linked to the ICC’s revenue share.
