Firstly, Iran doesn't have a nuclear option left. I don't know why you and others keep bringing that up. You people might benefit from studying what and how long it took for Pakistan starting January 1972 to reach a credible nuclear weapons state and that too with partly American connivance.

As to comparing the use of tactical nukes by the Americans on Iran with the nukes on Japon, while unlikely, but not impossible. I hope there is no nukes dropped on Iran but I also believe the main thing stopping an attack on Iran is the fear of American casualties and everything will be done to reduce them. Everything! That's because an attack on Iran has not even been 'sold' to the American public and so it will be very difficult to justify body bags coming to America. And that's where Iran has an advantage: A reluctant enemy and someone yesterday even posted Iran trying to figure out how to inflict maximum American casualties as a deterrent against the war. Americans know that and they would try to do to counter that; President Trump cannot take significant number of American body bags!!
In short, I don't rule out tactical nukes on Iran.

Intercepting ALBMs is very difficult. You have shorter reaction time and it's harder to predict its path. Look at Ukraine, they have managed to intercept Russian ground launched ballistic missiles, but open-source estimates of ALBM interceptions are significantly lower.

Yes - there is no 100% guarantee on anything, but if you combine shoot-scoot tactics that are quicker than the kill-loop and have the SHORADs, LOMADs and CIWs as well, you can minimise losses.

Russia will face same consequences if they use nuclear weapons, no matter if USA uses it or not.

How, and by whom will enforce consequences ? Only nuclear powers in Europe are France and Spain, and neither of them are going to trade nuclear strikes for the "sake" of Ukraine.

Russians are sanctioned to the max anyway, so what else can be done to Russia ?

Anyway it's unlikely Russia using nukes in Ukraine, because Russian friends and enemies are mixed in Ukrainian soil. And it's near to Russia soil.

That is an assumption, that may well get tested if Iran is bombed with a nuke.
