PTI news, updates and discussions part ll

Imran and his extreme followers are treating Pakistan as a cricket rival team. spreading false propoganda is one of those planned campaigns.

the current KP Chief minister made a false and despicable claim against Pakistan army desecrating Mosques in KP. he dindt even apolgise over that false claim based on an AI video.
I believe Asim is treating them as the enemy's army. The impunity in action and narrative are similar.

Being popular is totally not the most important requirement. Being competent probably would be but I don't think Pakistani politics is governed by such demonic foreign concepts.

It is the most important trait. If leader do not have standing and acceptance among own people, what is the point of leadership to being with? If there no acceptance among masses, then leadership is imposed, mostly under foreign influence. You cant make policies after that for the benefit of people. By dismissing local popularity, these people are playing this nasty game of creating wedge between people and the state , and by state I do not mean GHQ lot. state is much greater concept.

Populism is not a trait. It's a result of failed governance. None of Mr. Niazis policies are/were popular nor they were evidence of any competence.

What you are suggesting is fascism under guise of populism. Every mature state and nations have in-built corrective measures to reject such ailments of their society.

As Moeed said, if they were (GHQ and islo) willing to move forward, they would have given access to IK for proper treatment and family visits. They could have used the excuse of eye and label that 'beyond politics..' or 'humanitarian grounds..' etc.

They don't care means they want to keep IK in captivity for life.

That "mechanism" aka hold on power by extra constitutional forces only works in Pakistan to the extent that it keeps the status quo hold on power corridors, and thats about it, otherwise its just garbage in garbage out, when it comes to actually delivering for the people. How did this "mechanism" work say in America? You got Trump there, elected twice!

Bottomline is, how ever you want to paint it, populism or cultists , people must decide who they want as their leader. Let that person make the mistakes and dig his own grave. People will deal with that person. Populism do not fill the bellies, policies and growth do.

I agree that IK should have access to his own physicians as well, that he has known and trusted for a long time. Both Drs. FS and AY are excellent internists.

VC I don't think the hindrance to getting him his personal physicians is that they aren't capable :P

It is probably more political than anything else, but IK needs ongoing access to an ophthalmologist more than good internists at the present time. Perhaps access to Dr. Khurram Azam Mirza, who is excellent, and trusted by FS and AY both, could be the best possible compromise that helps IK the most.

You hit the nail on the head

I detest any political influences such as this in medical care for anyone, let alone IK. His eyes need timely and consistent care, and a full workup besides, for underlying conditions. This must be provided without delay, no doubt.

He appears to have had the necessary treatment until now, it must be mentioned. That process needs to be trustable by at least the patient himself IMO.

Have seen much criticism on IK for being totally rigid in his stance and unflinching.

Many times people from all sides have hinted that IK should compromise a little , maybe even go into exile for a while. Current establishment has even offered him that he can come back into politics if he just lets them complete current term in peace.

While he is an immovable object, we seldom address the unstoppable force sitting on the other side that also never shows any compromise. Just treats everything like a war. I cannot blame them though as it's drilled into them at a young age for purpose of defending borders, not for running a country.

That is why diplomacy is a two way street. Both sides need to be able to work things out in a mutually acceptable way.

I think Imran Khan's refusal to play the game the Establishment wants him to play, and hence spoiling of their well worn playbook, is part of his power and enhances his legitimacy in the eyes of the public. It shows he is not just another sellout politician and it is driving the Establishment nuts.

With regards to the current hybrid farce, look even without PTI this govt was not going to perform. It is made up of people who did not gain power via elections and may not keep power via performance. It is made up of the same tired old faces whom the Establishment has regularly screwed over in the past, and can absolutely screw over again next week. Hence the hybrid farce regime is only going to enjoy the perks and privileges of Government as long as it lasts, not matter the level of frustration by Establishment.

Issue is not Mr Imran Khan or PTI or even the other political parties. Issue is GHQ which specializes in building sand castles in the air.

That person is paying for his mistakes. What else do you want more?
