So strikes on Kabul and Kandahar as Pakistani fake news accounts on Twitter who are using 2003 Baghdad airstrikes as evidence?

Pakistan will pay a steep price if it limits attacks to the border regions. It must go after the afghan heartland and target their safe havens.

Likely higher... Ek video gardish kar rahi hai from the Afghan side and the video seems legit as the Afghan sniper is taking out the Thermal cameras on our border posts and then taking the shots at our soldiers peeking out to engage the enemy.

jis account se share hui hy wo active militant hy koi taliban ka, has shared many videos. showing our martyrs, pows and captured weapons mostly g3s, aks, etc

Update on the situation at the Pakistan Afghanistan border as of 0200 hrs Friday February 27

In response to unprovoked Afghan attacks, Pakistani counter strikes have been authorised and several iterations of these strikes have been conducted.

A total of 72 Afghan Taliban combatants have been terminated, more than 120 have been injured. Sixteen (16) Afghan Taliban posts have been destroyed and seven (7) Afghan Taliban posts have been captured.

A large ammunition depot, an Afghan Taliban battalion headquarters and an Afghan Taliban sector headquarters have been destroyed.

So far, more than thirty six (36) tanks, artillery guns and armored personnel carriers have been destroyed.

Further counter-attacks are going to take place in keeping with Pakistan’s resolve to be immediate and effective in response to any aggression.

That's what I am fearing..

India exactly wanted this to happen. Over the past few years, we have lost our strategic depth. I won't blame anyone here from Pakistani side. The new Afghan generation, whether it belongs to Taliban, NRF, Pashtuns, Sunnis or Shias.. they all hate us. For them, it was Pakistan that provided corridors to the US forces for bombing. I have talked to some of the sane ones in Australia, they all (rightly or wrongly) hate Pakistan for this reason. I don't see any solution to the Afghan problem to be honest.. Afghan will keep bleeding us.

The Afghans have always hated us and been our enemies

Acting like this is a recent phenomenon and started because Pakistan allowed the U.S access is disingenuous and doesn't account for repeated Afghan attacks since the 1940s

Afghans are just donkeys and they have been doing this since the 1940s

Afghans have REPEATEDLY LOST and as a result Afghanistan has been devastated

That's what burns them, not that they lost , but why didn't Pakistan be destroyed Instead of them

A certain cia twitter handle posted that most of the ammunition has already been moved out about a month ago from most of these buildings.. I fear we won't get much out of this... If you want to hurt TTA, destroy infrastructure, destroy their fleet of helis... Make administration hell for them.. especially in the north. NRF negotiations should be kept open through back channels.
yeah looks like more topi drama

Let's think about the timing of this escalation. Pakistan already has a very long, very hostile border with India from Siachen to Sir Creek, Pakistani planners must be really concerned about what could happen in Iran, with which Pakistan shares a long border, and now this.
I doubt the escalation with Afghanistan is a coincidence. It certainly doesn't serve Pakistan's interests to have the attention divided on three fronts.

In my personal view, it's something bigger. After Iran, what comes next is much clearer now following yesterday’s Modi–Netanyahu talk. Right now, the Iran issue is such a high priority that the US and Israel will not allow India to engage with Pakistan. Therefore, this seems to be an ideal time for Pakistan to neutralize the Afghan side and secure itself on one front before any India–Israel nexus begins targeting Pakistan.

Modi is closely monitoring the whole situation

Pakistan never had "strategic depth" in Afghanistan. That is a misnomer that has no meaning from a security standpoint.

Pakistan/Pakistanis need to stop worrying about what Afghans have to say. As long as they have designs on Pakistan's border areas, they are just as much a threat as the RSS crowd on the other side.

Pakistan has helped Afghanistan more than any other country and this actually kills them because in their minds, they think they are better than "dark" Pakistanis. Getting help from Pakistan is a major thorn on their side. They actually hate the fact that Pakistan is a working country and this is also why they take pleasure when anything bad happens to Pakistan. That Pakistan looked out for its interests when every other country involved in the Afghan mess was doing the same is the reason they hate Pakistan. They unfortunately have more love for their occupiers and tormentors (Soviets and Americans) than Pakistan.

In addition, they have abused the Pakistani hospitality, they have destroyed the reputation of the Pakistani passport, their wars have spilled over to Pakistan and their weapons and drugs have flooded Pakistan. This is what Pakistan has got for wanting to stand up to the Soviet occupation of their country.

Who cares what these afghandus think. The ONLY thing Pakistanis need to be concerned about is how do we wipe them out and or annihilate them.

Lets agree with all your points.

What's the solution?
