Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited on Friday the General Headquarters (GHQ), where he was given a detailed briefing by the military leadership on the prevailing Pakistan–Afghanistan situation.

Pakistan forces destroyed more than 73 Afghan Taliban posts and 115 tanks in retaliatory strikes, killing 274 Taliban regime operatives and terrorists and injuring over 400, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said in a press briefing during the day.

According to the military spokesperson, 12 Pakistani soldiers were martyred, 27 sustained injuries and one remains missing in action during the clashes.

Tensions between Islamabad and Kabul have risen sharply in recent days amid a surge in terrorist violence in Pakistan’s border regions.

A party politically protects illegal Afghans as their stated policy, but at the same time, should be immune to any criticism when those people become a threat during wartime, is beyond me. Either stop being a party to this issue, or stop complaining about being made a party to it.

The Indians know that the Taliban are nothing, and Pakistan isn't exactly using its good weapons on Afghanistan.

Their civilian leadership may not be all that bright, but their military planners aren't stupid.

The last time they let civilians dictate terms, they lost 7 fighter jets, and dozens of soldiers and checkpoints.

Said it for years as have many experts, Russian aircraft are awful. Yes the IAF is even worse but that is just not the pilot.
I remember the 80's and the number of conflicts in Africa and how Soviet Migs had problems with CAS, missing targets so many times.
