Actually no. The GCC signed up to American bases to ensure the protection and support for the ruling autocrats and to have a license to live a life of luxury , as long as they spent their money in the West. These attacks violate the American shield they depend upon , makes their rulers look like weak collaborators and ruins their plans on becoming the next Florida/Las Vegas/Monaco/Silicon Valley. It is a very high price they were never supposed to pay.

The fact that all this is happening because of Israel and not even something America needs, makes it even worse.

In case of Scenario 2 we can quote the opinion of General Kenneth McKenzie who said in December 2021 - "We would be hurt very badly by Iranian attacks. We would win in the long run. But it would take a year."

That's the reason for the sporadic launches and relatively small waves.
