Turkiye has already started working on 6th gen Fighter Jet

and KAAN -KIZILELMA technologies will help Turkiye to develop the 6th gen Fighter Jets at the same time with China ... maybe even before than China


Major hurdle for developing 6th gen jet for Turkiye will be the engine, all 6th gen jets will use variable cycle engine aka adaptive cycle engine tech, no one share this sensitive engine tech to Turkiye, Turkiye could develop this tech with your own capability which take much longer time for you to complete your 6th gen jet in time

Making a drone engine is not too hard as it is juts diesel engine. But what is hard is making chipsets & electronics. Turkey has no semiconductor technology. So, the only way it can get those is by imports.
Practically every chipset, be it in drone, ship, SAM, IIR seeker, controllers, mission computers are imported. This makes practically every major item made by Turkiye an assembled product

That is because Turkiye uses imported Western parts in its defence equipments. That is why suddenly Turkiye is able to develop brand new equipments at break neck speed which even great technological giants like Russia, France, China have difficulty in doing - all Turkiye does is assemble the critical western parts with peripheral cheap local parts like body, paint, wirings, nuts & bolts etc and call it Turkish equipment.

Here is proof that Canada had indeed decided that Turkey used Canadian tech for supplying Azerbaijan which was then revoked after some diplomatic exchanges:

That is just simpler aspect like design, packaging etc. The key element of manufacturing is absent. Even great powerhouses like China struggled to develop manufacturing technology for semiconductor. Even now its chips are inferior to USA based ones as it is still unable to master the technology fully. This is despite competing and developing technology since 1970s. Turkey barely started in 2010s and can't suddenly expect to be the leading hub in everything like magic.

This is what MEMS is: A MEMS (micro-electromechanical system) is a miniature machine that has both mechanical and electronic components. The physical dimension of a MEMS can range from several millimeters to less than one micrometer. They usually consist of a central unit that processes data (an integrated circuit chip such as microprocessor) and several components that interact with the surroundings (such as microsensors).

Basically, MEMS is about packaging of the semiconductor with other parts like sensors (another form of semiconductor), micro-resistors, micro-capacitors etc. It involves no manufacturing of the semiconductor wafer.

I've heard that Turkey's aviation industry doesn't even have carbon fiber technology... Turkish aircraft shells also need to rely on Western technology.

And you know. It is impossible for Western countries to supply high-end technology to Turkey. That's why we rarely see Turkish-made planes flying.

This country directly embarked on 5th generation...... how much you can actually believe...... its possible only when someone like Erdogan is in the office.....
 
BTW. TF-2000 is still just drawings. Not finished.

To date, the flight hours of all Turkish-made aircraft are even lower than the flight hours of the JF-17 in a month.

Possible. It is because Western countries refuse to supply Turkey with high-end carbon fiber aircraft shells?
