"Pakistani jets targeted Jalalabad Airport and the Taliban’s border unit in Nangarhar."

I don't think we have the capability of destroying deep mountain tunnels even if we know where there are.

Even the Americans had problem locating and destroying them by Air.

Ultimately you'll need to send in SSG with enough C4 to bring that mountain tunnel down on their heads.

For that to successfully take place you'll need to cripple Taliban movement and communications. Which could take a month to completely take effect.

The Chinese would be highly motivated to provide us all kind of surveillance, considering the developing situation in Iran and the movement of kashgari miitants from syria to Afghanistan.
I concur

I am for once pleasantly suprised with Pakistan, solid set of objectives that are both effective and realistic. Took a while to finally get here but just in time.

Pakistan’s strategic objectives (in Afghanistan) now include:

a) destroy border-areas infrastructure of terror facilitation;

b) knock out the arsenal the Taliban use to create border trouble and under that umbrella send in suicide bombers

c) occupy strategic posts beyond the border to create a buffer zone to keep Taliban driven incusrions in check

d) ensure that the current group is militarily so weakened that others find space to assert themselves

e) tell the Taliban leadership clearly that their policies will have unbearable costs. Its for them to change track quickly.

Tell them to put the show for the world but don't believe them for a second. Afghan under duress will sell even his dukhtar so lying is nothing.

Only some low IQ retards believed that myth. I've been telling Asim Munir through PDF posts to take the war to Afghanistan. You cannot fight cross border terrorism inside your own.

Isn't he the guy who replaced his brother as head of BLA, after his brother was killed?

Good news, if true.

You've been telling....Asim Munir....Through PDF posts.....

What?

Knock out the Taliban’s terror infrastructure and logistics and create a buffer zone. Take over Wakhan as a buffer zone, since any trade through Afghanistan will not be possible going forward

I genuinely get the sense now an element of us using drones and other tactics is to refine usage and get practice in surgical strikes and give training to troops.

If we are going to town on their air bases that have no aircraft this is really good to testr out new weapons systems, drones etc.

If Eastern border kicks off again, we will be very well versed....

They need to get rid of the taliban otherwise it will be a job half done.

I am disappointed the Tajiks haven't made a move yet. This is the perfect opportunity for them. Do they have the balls?

taliban are the children of AQ and will always cause trouble for Pakistan. They are extremist racial supremacists who are incapable of coexisting with others. So there must be regime change.

They are begging everyone. Enough of this. They had 20 years.
