China signed energy deals worth $30 billion with Saudi Arabia back in 2022 during Xi Jinping's visit. They got the 'purple carpet' treatment from KSA. There was a lot of fury in Iran over this energy partnership.

Whereas Xi Jinping hasn't visit Iran since 2014 which is over a decade ago. Just goes to show how quickly China can pivot.

Unless he cancels the midterms using war as an excuse - which he might; Israel's antics have made it a real possibility that despite gerrymandering and the democrats utter ineptness under their older guard idiots - there may still actually be a blue wave or at least a majority leaving Trump a lame duck.
