Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Very bad news for ukraine

More People will buy Russian Oil and it will fund their war machine

Expect Advances in Ukraine.. Putin prayed for times like this

EU shot itself in the foot supporting a crusade and now their debt trapped child ukraine is in trouble

Iran really screwed up not buying AWACS planes during the Obama Administration. Just having even 3-4 of them now would have helped to prevent surprise attacks and alert leaders that enemy planes or ALBMs are incoming, giving time for Supreme Leader(if he doesn't want to be martyred yet) to escape the ground zero area where enemy bombs/missiles will drop on.
they litr wanted to move the supreme leader but he didnt want to go and wanted to basically... die a martyr

For low and medium altitude sams work fine and smaller platforms can escape other air threats easier. This takes care of cruise missiles and drones like hermes, reaper. Also some convergence to high altitude is possible like for example pantsyr rocket(not the truck remove the truck it is not usable at all only take the rockets from the pantsyr system and integrate it to your anti drone sam system) has 15km altitude 20km range and weighs 80kg.

For high altitude defense however there needs to be a paradigm shift away from sams. Improving the sam systems like S300+ or HQ9+ would eventually come to a halt. There are functional constraints that limits those systems. Bulky systems are detected and destroyed immediately on the move or while they are static and these systems radars need continious pinpoint accuracy to track planes to not to miss makes them totally ineffective when jamming takes over or low observable threats.

The future of high altitude defense as a new paradigm is drones in my opinion and man in the loop control to take down enemy planes. Cheaper jet engine drones like shaheed-238 Hadid 110 with lightweight-manpad addition can operate at 10km altitude challanging enemy fighters. Also there are complex drones like Turkey's Kizilelma or Iran's Qaher-313. There needs to be an onboard sensor and man in the loop control at the ground station to take down enemy planes. Less accurate radars like long wavelength or pasive radars can be used together with these systems.

For bombers like B52 and others I think another drone option is rocket engine fixed wing drone. Even in ww2 these planes had about 12 km altitude and 40km range. Currently higher mach speeds and altitudes are possible ofcourse. When a site is bombed by B52 for example by dumb bombs the rocket plane can be launched and with its onboard sensor can engage the B52s with a2a missiles of its own. Bombers are generally slow and can be caught after they bombed some area. Ground Radar(long wavelength or passive) assistance will be a bonus though.

Of course India was tacitly involved. To suggest otherwise is delusional. India is desperate for acceptance at the top table and will stab anyone in the back for the most meagre of benefits.

Just ask Ahmed Massoud of Panjshir.
Please bash India on some other thread. India's role (?)in the sinking of IRIS Dena is a sideshow to a sideshow as far as this war is concerned and has already taken up too many posts on this thread.
