Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

There are no winners in this war, only losers, all around. The world is poorer and worse off due to this conflict, that is for sure.
There are no winners. But those who started this slaughter think that they will win by destroying the whole region. If Iran doesn't succeed in torching another site, they might do themselves.

Saudis have more time since they can reroute exports to the Red Sea

but if someone hits their East-West pipeline, and the Strait remains closed for another month, all bets are off and we will likely see oil at $200+
I know they are trying but that Azeri pipeline needs to go

Iran is actually still exporting oil to China (its own tankers are obviously free to pass the Strait of Hormuz)

so this spike in oil prices is good news for Iran in many ways

but soon even Iranian exports will likely be blocked

Chinese Tankers or Iranian tankers transporting the oil to China?

They will attack Iranian tankers, but will hesitate of Chinese flagged tanked.

Iran should keep it shut for everyone except china.

With the level of treachery displayed by India, I would probably keep those ships out as well.

usually in history rapid increase in oil prices accelerates the end of a business cycle and the start of a recession follows

we are already in the late stage of a business cycle. so far the Fed managed to achieve a "soft landing" but that is all toast now.

every day the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, is good for Iran as oil and gas prices will continue to rise. in a few more weeks, UAE's oil storages will be at max capacity and they will have to shut down production too, following Kuwait and Iraq.

not to mention the kinetic attacks against oil and gas facilities, which can make things 10x worse.
Good points, I agree.

Talking about Iran and the strait of hormuz, considering that Iran now chooses and controls which ships can pass through the strait, the strait of hormuz has formally, technically, naturally, eventually sematically and amazingly become Iran's OWN national maritime region.

And currently and apparently, not 1 country can take control of the strait of hormuz from Iran. I'll go further and say iran didn't even fight that much to actualy take full control of the strait .

The Epstein conspiracy theorists were right, and Iran wasn't bluffing about its ability to control the strait of hormuz.

I hope and pray for this war to end as soon as possible. It is not good for anybody at all.

currently only Iranian/Chinese ships are passing (plus 1-2 random brave tankers who turn AIS off and get lucky)
