The big problem for USA is that when Iranian spokespersons mention "false flag", many around the world who would previously have yelled "b.s.!" will now pause and offer due platform to such views because of American deceit and connivance in launching a surprise war, of choice, against an opponent who was actively negotiating with them.

In short, I have absolutely no reason to take Israeli and American words at face value ahead of Iranian words.

This may be one of the most important geopolitical contextual changes heralded by the Trump administration. USA will probably never be able to rectify its broken reputation.
