But Vietnamese had to pay an extreme price for that. Question remains whether Iranians are willing to pay the same. Near the end of Vietnam, a frustrated US expanded its carpet bombing to Cambodia and Laos as well, because they were part of the Ho Chi Minh trail (supply lines to VietCong). So in this case the US may get involved in extreme levels of bombing of Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen too

This is a President who is compromised by Israel and on top of that a narcissistic and sociopathic personality. So much death and potential destruction just to establish israeli hegemony in Mideast.

One possibility is that Trump resorts to carpet bombing with B-1/B-2 bombers akin to the "Linebacker" operations during the Vietnam war to get Iranians to accept defeat. But the way things are looking, Iranians are past the point of surrender. They just have to hold on to their wits and outlast the Israeli/US aggression. That will be a strategic win for Iran.
