In a contested or dominated airspace you cannot continiously track enemy planes by active radars. You can get snapshot pictures only by active radars or you need to use passive radars or iir sensors for continious coverage. Not sams but anti air drones would be the key for future high altitude defense.

Iran has Karrar drones converted to carry a2a missiles that can be reusable by parachute landing. Actually you dont need 1000km ranged drone. Altitude to reach 12-15km is the key requirement along with the ability to carry a short range a2a missile and onboard iir camera to track enemy planes.

So a smaller version of Karrar that can carry a2a and reach those altitudes of 12-15km would be a huge threat against enemy aircraft. Also karrar has engine at the upper part of fuselage. It is exposed to enemy aircraft radars looking from above from 15km altitude. So it has somewhat high rcs in air to air engagements. Jet engine below the fuselage would hide it from enemy radars reducing the rcs of anti air drone. In that case a2a missiles needs to be carried at the wing tips or sides of the body though.

That will be this one:

It was in friendly territory when I tracked it and it issued a general emergency. So Hostile fire is 100% out of the question as it was burning fuel to initiate an emergency landing.

The aircraft was 62 years old and had been flying daily sorties since arriving in Tel Aviv on the 6th of March.

If a KC135 went down and another declared emergency, it suggests some sort of buddy aerial refuelling to transfer fuel that went wrong?

Forum policy is going forward no insult to any service personnel lost in combat, be they Iranian, US, Pakistani, Indian. This is an agreement made by Admin - any issues please take it up at GHQ section.

Thank you.
Yeah, no worries. I got it.

Coalition soldiers who die in a combat while killing innocent civilians, including young children in schools, we should just keep quiet.

Got it. Thanks for the much needed clarification.

One more question though, what about those who are still alive? And does this policy apply to Israelis as well?

Why no footage out of Iraq ? Doesn't this plane have flares ?

It's more likely Iranian missile strikes at one of US bases in region successfully hit some tankers.

Is CENTCOM trying to suggest two tankers bumped into each other causing one to tumble down?

I think Lebanon is full of moles and traitors , like Iran. Anything for the money.
It is being exposed as an artificial country of radically different ideological groups forced together without even enough basic sense of national identity to actually order its national military to fire a bullet at an invading force.

I understand that there is some "delicately multifaceted pluralistic governance structure", because this is the garbage shoved into our brains by anglo-french chroniclers of how "gloriously balanced" a middle east carved up by them will eternally be...but ffs.... if your army refuses to fire a bullet at these maniacs killing children just because "they say they're only after hezbis", then there is something wrong with your country.

I think Iran doesn't want to ship American warships

because it could back fire and American public support for expansion of the war could trigger a wider war against iran

so Iran needs to be careful
This is BS though. The US Navy has already sank Iranian warships, so not to reciprocate in kind is a Sign of Weakness. Any war fought depending on public sentiment in the enemy country is not a winning strategy.

Iran should control the escalation ladder here. The lives of Iranian soldiers are by no means lesser than the life of an American soldier, and Iran needs to prove this if they are a proud race of warriors.

Even Vietnam shot down many US planes and killed many US pilots in the Vietnam War, so I think many people have bought into the scam of the US threatening to use Nukes if xxx soldiers died because they're spineless kitties.

Then, what are they waiting for?

Only KSA has 6 times the military budget of Iran.

Why GCC doesnt launch a massive strike against Iran?

I think their weapons are defensive otherwise they’d all have ballistic missile production facilities.

Moreover, he laid out his thoughts, and since 1986 to the present, the surrounding countries have had ample time to prepare their policies and militaries, yet they failed.

Hence, reading and understanding your opponent should be a key requirement for policymakers.

In the end, Netanyahu acted on behalf of his national interests, nothing more, nothing less.

I hope this news is really true, and limits US operations into Iran overall. This crash has broad consequences, especially now with the crew most likely dead. The pressure to stop the war from the population will be high.

It declared the emergency in friendly territory as I have shown in the screenshot - it then crashed over Iraq - it was not hostile fire as it would have been blown out of the sky.

The crew is 100% dead

No way they survived this
