No technical specs are available that I can find. It is speculated the P-358 can reach a maximum altitude of 8.5KM which is roughly 28,000 ft.

Guys, I think it is relevant here. Mods!

case of the boy who cried wolf

How can have a mechanical problem without being involved a fighter or another tanker?. Does It mean that It suddenly had a breach in the fuselage or break the wings?. If It is like this the destruction would be instantly.
All sorts of accidents are possible with airborne refuelers that other aircraft are not as susceptible to, not least because they're jammed full of fuel and have to transfer fuel in a highly precarious manner.

Don’t disagree and until they release exactly what happened people are going to have their theories but weird they would have these 2 aircraft flying in close proximity am I wrong
no you're right. I've never seen a mid air refueler fly close to any other aircraft.

I would say F the Israeli's after everything they did in Palestine and the region. The reason this policy is in place is because we have American, Iranian, Indian, Pakistani, Bengali members on this forum.

These nations tend to end up in some flash point and soldiers end by dying - then memes are posted which hurts the feelings of said members - mods from these countries are also human.

If we don't allow desecration or mockery of Pakistani soldiers who are martyred, why then are we allowing mockery of service personnel who are killed serving their nations? Either we allow everyone to mock each other and make this a toxic cesspool or we come to some adult agreement about how discussions are going to carry on going forward.
Well said.

Btw while everything else is being discussed militarily, the biggest ticking disaster, (especially for UAE), is the Ecological Disaster, in case of one or more oil spills in the Hormuz. This will be a huge long term disaster, as was being discussed by an Analyst at Bloomberg.

Any spill will not impact Qatar, Bahrain or even Iran, as the Water flows Northwest as it enters the Gulf, makes a turn at Iraq/Kuwait ports and flows back along the South East direction, ending at UAE before it exits (see the arrow below).

Since the inflow from Oman Sea / Indian Ocean is much stronger, so anything at the entrance of Hormuz will be pushed back into Persian gulf due to inflow pressure and will all be naturally deposited at the coastlines of UAE, due to the shallow depth and lowest pressure (as this is the widest area in Gulf, away form the main inflow path).
  • That will be a disaster for UAE's tourism for decades to come, all prime properties worth hundreds of billion of Dollars would become worthless.
  • Not only economically, but it will badly hit the desalination systems or can permanently cripple them.
Which, other than causing huge number of ecological issues in the Gulf, will be an unimaginable disaster for a country like UAE that is fully relying on tourism, with its beachfronts being the biggest asset.

Just one or two tankers down doesn't degrade much their combat capabilities. If any US aircraft is still stationed in Saudi Arabia, Iran should send firm message to SA to ask them to chase out the Americans there as the Saudis shouldn't host bases for a warring party in this war if don't want that base to become a target.

I doubt, you are a genuine person

you seem lost

You don't know that. During the war in Vietnam, a number of B-52s were shot down over the North. Hit by SA-2s. A number of those aircrews survived.
But isn't a refueling aircraft laden with excess fuel almost certain to explode in a fireball upon crashing or crash landing? Feel free to correct my understanding on this.

How TF do you think aerial refuelings occur? I'm hoping you've seen a couple?
