My mum has been friends with a sikh for almost 2 decades, whenever something happens she parrots indian media choosing to believe her side over reality. Even though she has been proven wrong numerous times... rinse and repeat.

One thing I'm slowly coming to realize is that it's hard to truly get along with non muslim indians because religion will always prop up. They have all these pre conceived ideas fed to them by their media and whatsapp university forwards . Sure you can crack jokes and get along for a while, but when nation and religion join the equation there will always be friction.

Always got to be FULLY aware of your surroundings in this country. Of course the bstard who did this needs to burn for this deliberate crime, but even half an extra second of awareness of surroundings on a road with obvious audio cues of someone speeding could have saved her from harm. Why are we CONSTANTLY ignorant of our surroundings or on a mobile phone when walking?? Never mind the vehicles coming at you, you should be actively scoping each and every person walking towards you in case they are some nutjob and always have some escape strategy or space-creating strategy.

Teach your kids about such things too because they're growing up with phones glued to their hands, blissfully unaware of their immediate environment.

You're not wrong. However, if anyone is audibly speeding in one's vicinity, it is wise to step back in between the parked cars to be less exposed.

Even if the car was not deliberately seeking to harm, it could have lost control at such speed and hit her.

I'm telling you the way some idiots drive in UK, they are always inches away from flattening someone.
