Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

All that to fight a country under crushing sanctions for 40 years, no functional airforce, a mediocre navy and an arsenal of missiles that get shot down 98% of the time, something is not adding up.
That is the fleet of US-EUCOM and US-CENTCOM in that image. Not all of those aircraft are working on operation EF - most are assortment of aircraft assigned to transport, logisitics etc.

The image was to demonstrate the reach and capacity of the US EUCOM - 86 Air Lift Wing based at Rammstine Airbase, Germany.

Iran will destroy any land concentrations(SRBMs and drones) and any attempt at either seaborne or airborne landing will result in a bloodbath for the Americans.

Surely someone with a brain will stop Trump from even entertaining this idea.
I doubt Iran is going to bomb Kharg unless there is real existential threat and no other option available.

Oil market is a bit nervous, brent crude price 103.7 usd a barrel.
I think because Trump has made his second big error in this unnecessary conflict, doubling down rather than cutting his losses. A deal could have been reached with Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for lifting sanctions, but he is choosing an amphibious assault of Kharg or Qeshm island instead.

Iran is already hitting the Gulf vassals to punish them for hosting US bases. What do you think it will do to Gulf energy infrastructure if it loses it's own ?

Likely.

In addition there are KC-46s and variants of KC-130s serving in that role, as well as specialized helicopters and even drones such as the MQ-25.
Based on what I've seen, about 1/3, perhaps 1/2, of the KC-135 fleet is now in the EU/ME.

Now you know why Iran was sanctioned for decades and why Iranians are banned from working in sensitive tech at western companies.

Indeed, no energy for Iran means no energy for anyone.
