That is exactly what both sides are trying to do right now - build up a position of strength to negotiate from when the inevitable negotiations happen.

Which side will succeed in doing that still remains to be seen.

As long as Iran can control the straits that 2 mile gap is just a death trap for anyone stupid enough to try to pass it trump is now begging(asking but whose he kidding) for countries to send their navies in while American forces help them from afar logistically.

Is it me yeah European leaders are now facing the consequences of this war and they all might sink with this looming oil crisis that’s getting bigger and bigger but I have to bet a few are laughing their butts off
