Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Why has Iran spared Israeli air bases?
Herein the war calculus is explained perfectly, without you even trying to do so.

Israel employs multilayered defence, both in terms of interceptors and radars to detect the threats that are incoming.

Its protective layers exist outside of Israel first and foremost.

Already we know that missile warning times are reduced as a result of THAAD radars being struck outside of Israel (particularly Jordan).

Until Iran degrades these outer protective shells, Israel remains safer than the front-line nations.

Of course, this is all part of Israel's design. Throw Arabs and goyim in front of the promised land to protect it with their bodies.

And Arab govt officials turn up on global news networks wondering why "we are protecting them, instead of them protecting us!".

Yeah, for sure, tankers are the weak point here, but even here, the US has a massive amount. taking out 7 tankers would reduce the UK's tanker force by hald, but think US has around 300 odd tankers If i am not mistaken
Us has total of 650+ tankers even if only half are currently in active service

Israeli media:

Medical teams received calls in more than 6 impact sites in Tel Aviv and its surroundings, there is significant damage and fires, search is underway for potential casualties.

This is a very good point that many forget, even is BMs are destoyed so much damaged is still inflicted by interceptor remnnents and debris. So even though the missile may have "failed" to hit its target, destruction is still caused by every interception.

Also the effect this will have on Israel's high tech economy centred around Tel Aviv will be significant

Documentation from one of the scenes in Tel Aviv. The IDF suspects that Iran launched a cluster missile at the center

I wonder if Iranian missile cities in the West are inoperable like in 12 day war. But Iran still had impressive launching capability during that war.

Iran is firing from areas deeper in Iran this time.

All we need is for missile defense batteries to be targeted successfully for Tel Aviv to become vulnerable to appropriate retaliation

Not certain where you got those figures from.

Lets not count the C-130 Tankers.

The only ones that matter are the KC-135 (Stratotanker) & the KC-46 (Pegasus).

KC-135 are just above 300, but most of them are in pretty bad shape. It ain't easy get parts for a Boeing 707. That thing should be in a Museum.

The KC-46 are way under 100, and the reason why the USAF isn't buying more is they are pushing Boeing to fix some issues with them.

So, yeah knocking down a few Tankers may not make an impact - but it would get Congress to start wondering why the American Taxpayers are losing Tankers & atleast 06 Servicemen pet a/c

Unsure how Iran is keeping this up to be honest. It seems incredible, they either have a lot of very well hidden launch sites and they seem to be able to be resupplied. Iran has of course had decades to prepare for this exact scenario.

So yeah, my guess is some of the missile cities/factories must still be running.

@IceCold

Iran hit the southern Nevatim airbase in True Promise 2 (October 2024)

Israelis claimed impacts were non critical

I'm not sure how you can disable them without ground troops

Would like to see if they can send several of the cluster missiles and have those bases peppered with shrapnel. Something like 400-500 submunitions landing on the base (5-6 missiles) might be the best way to take them out of service temporarily as they try to clean up the area. I don't know if you can disable the entire base for long with just missile barrages though, but possibly keep them out of service for a week or two and then repeat.

Yeah, I also guess they need to keep many stationed around the world for day to day ops, especially in Pacific.
