The shortest scheduled airline flight in the world is flown by LoganAir between Westray and Papa Westray in Scotland, covering a distance of 1.7 miles and taking about one minute to fly.

One-off flights may be shorter, so this one may still qualify, I suppose.

Mentioning the "the logistical and service centers supporting the mentioned carrier group in the Red Sea," it looks like the IRGC is sending a clear warning to the countries on the Red Sea. It is possible they could target the ports and refueling depots that the USS Gerald Ford CSG could be docking or using.

Yeah, knew about the world record for the Scottish one, must be a close run thing! I imagine no passengers and maybe just relocating aircraft this time?

Amazed Dubai is still letting commercial flights run as drones hit the airport....

Probably. Reopening air traffic and sea channels is all important, not just from the economic perspective, but from a morale point of view.
