I think there is still some small group of idiots in GHQ who thinks that Talibans could become loyal to Pakistan if we killed a few of the leaders. They refuse to believe that they are all rats and should be exterminated completely. I mean it's been almost 50 years since we started to help them out and 30 years since they betrayed our trust. These idiots are still in colonial mentality and think that those they nurtured would eventually come back to them.

Blame our Generals who thought having a extremist group that we cultivated would be loyal to us. I never understood why we kept on with the Taliban stuff or why we even bothered to support the most extremist group. I mean during Bhutto's era we were supporting religious groups that were moderate and could be negotiated, but nah Saudi funds and American support made us go all on fucking Talibums

Tbh I thank God that we have such a incompetent neighbor in India. Like almost all of our mistakes are easily overcome by these Hinduvta's. If India had kept quiet and let Taliban get bombed to rubble, then came in as a saviour, it would've done a lot for the image of India in Pakistan and could've made Taliban super Pro-India in short term. But nah their incompetence allowed us to strike Afghanistan without any backlash, plus some support due to Taliban getting involved with India allowed a cacus belly for Pakistan.

It comes down to the inability to use PAF in a tactical role, we have more then enough aerial assets available to provide air support but due to the very rigid top down command structure.

If units were able to call in airstrikes if they detected a buildup of talibunds a lot of these losses could be pervented.
