Back then the enemy was Israel and only Israel. They all played their part against Israel with war after war.

After 1979, they've been constantly looking over their shoulders because a nation full of religious fanatics wants to export their fanatical revolution to the GCC and install their puppet Governments there.

They look after their own people. Their people are fat, happy and very prosperous.

They're so well off that they employ 4 million Pakistanis in their countries. If they wanted they could employ Afghans and Indians instead of Pakistanis.

This is why our Defence Pact with Saudi Arabia matters. We have 2.7 million Pakistanis living in that country. They are our priority.

I dont think that has ever been considered some holy family by anyone but there is a long standing relationship that has aspects beyond the public eyes and those go beyond just Houbara Bustards into being available as an ATM in certain crises or even pushing lobbies in the US and EU for certain clearances on equipment.

Not a constant but the historical precedent is there.
