Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

It is the right thing to do, to stay cleer of any war fighting against Iran. So far the Pakistani military is resisting such pressure the best it can.

It presents little benefit, is morally wrong and presents us as cheap cannon fodder. I cannot imagine the Saudis are offering nearly enough to make it justifiable.

If they were dumping $50 billion a year into our economy it would make sense, but for a defence pact not even worth the paper it's written on? No

Munir said the right thing, for some odd reason a certain sections of Shias were under the impression that cracking down on religious extremism only meant Sunnis and not their own psychotic mullahs.

Munir is a patriot, not some cheap Iranian proxy. Extremists of all sects shall be held accountable.

After the subtle incitements many Shia mullahs have been trying to do, and partially succeeded with the riots in Gilgit Baltistan, he said things very bluntly and truthfully.

Being Shia is not an excuse to use your identity to get away with extremism, everyone must realise this.
damage is done.

damage is done.
We will see. It has become a habit of a certain political party to weaponise anything it can get its hands on for instability out of sheer desparation, and it has failed nearly every time. The odds are not in their favour. They stood with TLP at one point too. There is no consistency.

This is going to be a 1 week headline maximum.

Pakistan need to be careful and should avoid this immediately, we can't afford to participate it even we only defend only specific places in Saudi Arabia, check out Yemen's messages below

The Houthis have announced that if Saudi Arabia, Jordan or the UAE try to intercept a missile heading towards Israel, they will be treated as part of Israel.

“We warn the Arab countries, especially Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, against intercepting the missiles coming from Iran and Yemen and the entire Resistance Axis against the Zionist entity.

Any country that intercepts the Axis's missiles will be treated as an inseparable part of the Zionist entity, and he who is warned has no excuse.“

Saudi Arabia and the UAE are moving closer to supporting the US-Israel war effort by expanding base access and preparing for a longer conflict

Officials say attitudes in Riyadh now favor supporting the US war to punish Iran, but both states warn that direct offensive action could open a can of worms

This forced patriotism is ridiculous
Probably because you are a Canadian

At least some people prefer loyalty to the long-term interests of the actual country instead of a cocaine addict who is way out of his depth selling pipe dreams to an illiterate fanbase. Yet surely a certain group get their panties in a massive twist for it anyway.

So regarding the Pak involvement in the Iran-Zio War, i want to put a few questions:

1. What are Saudis lacking for their defense which we will be able to provide in addition. They have the best SAMs, BM interceptors, aircraft, US/NATO style trained Airforce, weaponry. Are they asking us to do their dirty work while they sit and enjoy their true enemy gets bombed by 16s from 9/29/11/5 guys. What an absurd idea. Their F15s carry more, go farther with refueling which our F16 boys dont do (unless flying to US for Redflags which happens like once/twice in a decade), have access to TDL directly to E3 AWACS. I mean what is the great tactical advantage that we are going to give to Saudis which they don't have already.

2. Are we going to allow joint Pak-Saudi ops from BLN.

3. Will we have any goodwill left at all when we officially join this Zionist led crusade against Iran on the behalf of Saudis. Whether the current Islamic Govt. in Iran survives or not, the moment our first strike lands inside Iran, the opinion in the Iranian public and elites will change from ambivalence/luke warm friendliness to openly hostile and for good. Remember Persians are proud people with a long memory and they wont let things go ever. A favorite quote for takfiris is that Shias are Majoos hurt over the Arab conquest 1400 years ago. Imagine when the current war come to a conclusion, Iran would become and remain openly hostile to us for the foreseeable future. An open enmity with Iran for decades to come, will it be worth its price, any price.

Let me correct you here. Zainabiyoun was raised from the areas where there were lot of Shia youth was suffering at the hands of takfiris/wahabbis already. Taliban and takfiri affiliates have been doing unspeakable horrific crime against innocent men, women and children. The route to Parachinar had been closed for months or even years.

Now comes the Syrian civil war of 2011. A imperfect but still somewhat stable Govt. of Bashar was destabilized by the Gulfies and Turks with full US involvement. Saudis and Qataris brought about their favorite Salafi head choppers from all around the world, including from Pak tribal regions that no one talks about. These were/are the human animals who happily decapitate and even consummate their opponent. What reference from Uhud I am searching for here.

Anyways, Iran also had to protect their Axis of resistance and interests. The protection of the shrine of the Grand daughter of the Prophet (SAWW) in Damascus only helped justify their involvement even more. We saw what Salafist/AQ did to the shrines of Shia Imams in Samara in 2006. The one single event that lead to a full blown civil war in Iraq with hundred of thousands killed in suicide bombings and the reprisal raids.

So now given this, which Shia would not have sympathies with any Govt in the world which takes a clear stance against these takfiris and protect their holy sites.
If IRGC recruited Shia youth from the sectarian strife affected regions, it only more understandable. I have not said it was justified for the people to heed to the recruitment call but understandable.

But an even more important question, our intel has usually very good understanding of the ground situation in such areas. Or at least this is the nominal assumption. Why they did not pre-empt and stopped/dissuaded people from joining groups like Zainabiyoun while the whole thing was in its infancy. Even more basic question, why the situation in places like Parachinar was allowed to fester for so long that people saw a foreign Jehad a viable option.

So thing are not as simple that why Shias went to fight Sunnis. Look into both sides of the arguments.
How would fighting in Syria and Lebanon alleviate the sufferings of the people parachinar?

Lol, you are as confused as the Saudis who originally also thought that Muneer was a shia and had to be assured that no, Mr Asim Muneer belongs to the Sunni sect.

Your lack of knowledge mixed with ego is your problem to solve.
Pakistan army chiefs are neither Shias or sunnis , they are Pakistani from head to toe .

Many. They’re a terrorist group just like any other terrorist group operating out of Pakistan.
Even if they didn’t carry out terrorist attacks in Pakistan (which isn’t true), they should be charged with treason for going all the way to Syria to fight with Muslims while ignoring mushrikeen occupied Kashmir.
How many zainabiyoun terrorists fought for Pakistan against India or fought against Taliban? Traitors chose Iran over Pakistan. The only punishment for treachery is execution.
Zainabiyoun Brigade was banned as a terrorist outfit in Pakistan after Iran attacked Pakistan in January 2024 for no reason.

In official press conferences, Iranian military has repeatedly prompted this terrorist organisation's flag as one of its tentacles in, that it could also be used against Pakistan.

Actually its very easy in Pakistani context, you just follow the $$$.
Dollars are certainly a concern for the majority when inflation hits as we can see from regular domestic politics. Nice to see you recognise the economic sustainability factor in foreign relations.

Unfortunately fancy speeches do not fill stomachs, fuel tanks, or create a successful resistance to anything no matter how much you wish it to. You often end up irrelevant in such antics.

This is the simple answer of your questions till 2012. Now 2026 nothing left....Suadi Arab who unable to fight Houthi, do you think they can do anything.

What's your point?

The 1967 map remained pretty much intact until Iran started making trouble against the GCC countries from 1979 onwards.

Who told Iran to export it's fanatical revolution to the GCC Arab countries instead of going after Israel?

For your information since you don't much thinking, Iran only started screaming Palestine after the US designated Iran as an Axis of Evil in 2002.

All terrorists that openly threaten Pakistan and Saudi Arabia need to be dealt with an Iron rod.

Our military has just concluded target practice over Afghanistan in preparation for airstrikes over Houthi occupied areas of Yemen.
