Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

would Pakistan attack UAE if they allowed India to build bases there to attack Pakistan?

Did Pakistan attack Tajikistan when India had an airbase there for two decades?

Did Pakistan attack Iran because of the Chahbar Port being built there against Pakistani interests?

Has Pakistan attacked Oman for having Indian Naval facility on its soil?

Do we need to wait for a few thousand Pakistanis to be massacred first before we react?
nope when iran targets pakistanis
we will respond , just like we did in 2024
while the other has spread its terror tentacles in all over Arabia for nearly half-a-century.
yeah like arabs are innocent with their support of proxies ,
arabs and iranians are made for each other , let them dance into the doom which both of them helped to create , and dont you dare give me the bs of iran started it first (they didnt)
why do you want to put pakistan in this mess huh , we just topped global terrorist incidence index
this is like seeing WW11 in front of your eyes and saying oo i want to join too

At the moment who in the region is geographically, militarily and logistically best suited to open Strait of Hormuz through a ground operation against Iran?

I know, I know it is highly unlikely, but capability is there and what if the Mutual Defense Pact is invoked? If the defense pact only entails defense of Saudi land and not any offensive operations then Saudis are more than capable of defending their air space. The only other theater of operations maybe against Houthis.

The defence pact is taken more seriously on this forum than anywhere else.

It's a no-brainer that Pakistan has a very important diplomatic role to play here and they are playing a balancing act.

There is no article 5 like clause anyone is confirming.

To speak as if there was is low IQ stupidity.

Pakistan will definitely help the KofSA. However, should we expect help if India attacks us (and it will definitely attack Pakistan) in future? We don't need their army/ airforce/ navy, but will KSA also coerce other GCC states (we know it can) to stop supplying oil to India?

This Iran war was planned for a very long time by Israel, the US and GCC and Munir understood this when he went for his (unconstitutional) lunch with Trump and signed the (unconstitutional) defense pact with Saudi Arabia. It's why the Turks opted not to sign on to the same pact. So now what will Pakistan do ?
Well we can look at clues from the past.

In the last Gulf war Pakistan deployed upto 15k troops in Saudi Arabia , some on the Iraqi and some on the Yemeni border. Pakistan did not participate in the offensive action against Iraq. There is no scenario of an Iranian land invasion of Saudi Arabia but the Saudis are nervous about the Houthis, so potentially a Pakistani land contingent can be sent to deploy along the Saudi Yemeni border, once again as a purely defensive action. This could also align with the reported deployment of US forces in Djibouti.

Another option is to deploy the Pakistan Air Force to Saudi, which can be used to shoot down Iranian drones headed for sensitive installations. Pakistan has little equipment or expertise in ABM and whatever it could offer is vastly inferior to what the Saudis and Americans already have, so I dont expect much AD deployment.

Finally an option is that Pakistani personnel and officers are sent individually to GCC forces, such as when volunteer pilots were sent in the 1967 and 1973 wars to pilot Arab air force aircraft.

I think Pakistan will also simultaneously sent humanitarian relief to Iran and keep the diplomatic lanes open. It's all about a balancing act.

I do not expect Munir to open Pakistani ports or airspace to US forces to attack Iran nor that Pakistan will take any offensive action against Iran itself. Surely Munir will have learned a thing or two from Zia and Musharraf and not repeat those gigantic blunders.

Ideally Pakistan should stay out of this whole fiasco magar elite class believes in "parai shaadi main Abdullah diwana!"

stay the F away, this is not our war, dont backstab iran, irgc is not someone you want to mess with, they will make afghandus look like doves, we will be in perpetual war on our western border.
We will do what is in our best interest.
