I don't think many people are aware of the shear threat FPV drones bring. A lot of US military personnel will die and their final moments will be caught on video for the world to see, probably with funky music and edits just like we've seen in the Russo-Ukraine War (2022-). This analysis outlines many of the threats the US military will face in taking and holding Kharg Island, including FPV drones.

The F22 Raptor guy, I have him on Ignore too but sometimes I do Unignore on posts to see if anybody has evolved. He was claiming the only cost to Americans in this war so far is another measly $20 a week in gas.

If this is true, it shows how deeply the regional conflict has escalated. UAE and Iran had decades of economic ties, but recent attacks have pushed their relationship into outright breakdown and retaliation. This will have serious implications for people, business, and regional stability.

Iran’s strategy to target Gulf countries beyond their US bases will prove to be a tactical mistake. Blocking SoHormuz and attacking Israel and US military assets would have been seen as more legitimate and reduced the chance of Gulf States retribution while still effective.
