I think both Iran/America needs to made some compromises to break the deadlock into negotiation, right now Trumps is trying position himself on a stronger position so he can extract a lot more from Iran, As for Iran they are already on ventilator, their leadership dying, and missile strikes are hitting some important targets but not much.
