Except Israel could say Iran has nukes and get Beijing to believe it. Beijing believed the WMD lie, and Israel would say Iran broke the agreement, so maybe Beijing does not have to defend Iran if attacked. While in the next years/months Israel is prepared with newer drone and missile defenses for the next war.
Beijing would have to be an unconditional security guarantor of Iranian sovereign and to fully defend Iran with the total might of China, including nuclear umbrella, for this to have teeth.

As per reports Pakistani president visited China embassy in Pakistan secretly while army chief is in UAE and P.M busy in negotiation with Egypt, Turkey and KSA.

I truly hope Iran doesn’t stop they said it would take several weeks for completion now all of a sudden they are wrapping up interceptors are done if trump does stop just focus everything on Israel as long as Arab and trump forces stay out of it

If true (and that is a huge caveat for ANYTHING on twitter!), then this is perfectly reasonable posturing by Tehran.
Tehran should maintain a position of perceived strength, either feigning or truly manifesting a position of operational dominance, from whence it does not need discussions and does not need ceasefires and might only cease firing if dragged to the table kicking and screaming with the fire of Hades in its eyes. Indeed, if a visage of strength cannot be maintained, a visage of psychotic lunacy might also suffice. The problem for Tehran is that Trump also wishes to be perceived in one of these two ways.

Trita Parsi is among the few analysts I have found to be knowledgeable and cogent. So I think this post is excellent analysis. I also think it's possible that there is a joint US-GCC operation to seize those 3 disputed islands alongwith an American effort to seize Kharg and some other points on the Iranian coastline. Then it will be a case of holding on to them.
