Houthis have had a very disappointing role in this war so far.
They're probably waiting for something bigger to happen to enter the war more seriously. I mean how many missiles have they fired so far? Fewer than 5, if I'm not wrong.
Another possible reason is that Iran chose to arm itself instead of arming the Houthis after the June attacks. Therefore, their inventory of missiles and drones is rather small for playing a bigger role in attacking Israel and Zionist-Arab states in the Persian Gulf.
I just hope they could secure Bab el-Mandeb at least. Disrupting navigation and Bab el-Mandeb should be their top priority in this war, if push comes to shove.
Even if they can only afford a couple of missiles daily and 3 or 4 Shaheds It worths. Their utility in this war is somewhat like penguin or comet Deutsche kriegsmarine in Second World War. It takes a lot of resources just to track, shoot down and even answer Houthies attacks.
