The experts of AUTOSTAT agency in preparation for the forum of car business "FinAuto - 2024. Financial Instruments of the Car Market" found out that more than 40% of passenger cars owned by legal entities belong to Russian and Chinese brands. As of 1 January 2024, there were 5.5 million cars registered to legal entities in our country.
At the same time, the share of Russian brands here is 32.8%, and Chinese brands - 8.7%. Thus, their total share is 41.5% and exceeds that of Japanese (15.6%), German (13.6%) and Korean (11.1%) brands combined. It is not by chance that we emphasize this very point, as the Japanese, Germans and Koreans are virtually lost for the new passenger car market in Russia and therefore will not be able to replenish corporate fleets in the same volumes as before.
The same applies to the "French" (their share in the corporate fleet is 6.1%), "Czechs" (4.3%) and other Western companies. It turns out that today corporate clients can fully rely only on domestic and Chinese manufacturers who continue official deliveries to our market, which means that their share will continue to grow.
