This guy seems like an insider he predicted 1 pilot rescued and maybe other one is in jail

“The response shattered the assumption that Tehran would confine itself to performative retaliation. In internal deliberations before the war’s launch, Hegseth had pointed to Iran's muted reaction to Trump’s past attacks as evidence that calibrated force could impose costs on Tehran without triggering a broader war. Hegseth “was caught off guard. There’s no question,” says a person familiar with his thinking.

As preparations for the war began, the Administration believed it had a winning formula. The U.S. would deliver an opening strike so overwhelming Tehran’s only viable response would be limited retaliation—enough to satisfy domestic audiences without inviting more attacks. It was a theory rooted in precedent. When Trump ordered the killing of Iranian general Qasem Soleimani during his first term, Iran’s response was a missile strike on a U.S. base that caused no casualties and was telegraphed in advance. After Operation Midnight Hammer, the June 2025 air campaign against Iran’s nuclear facilities, the retaliation was similarly tempered

For years Iran’s strategic patience and token attacks only emboldened the enemy like many on here warned. The countless assassinations in Syria culminating in the Solemani assassination weakened and directly caused this war on Iranian soil.

The proponents of this disastrous policy are no longer on this earth. Hopefully, their successors learn.

The completely updated and incredibly successful warfighting doctrine and the "controlled madman policy" of not stopping short of targeting basically *anything* by semi-autonomous local commanders, taking only minimal central directive on the escalation ladder, is a living proof that they have been learning big time, and still learning as we speak. And the world, US and Israel first in line, and learning with them, the hard way. Ditto Hezbollah that everybody hastily wrote off as dead. Just wait until this war is done. Deterrence has never been achieved this decisively ever since the end of the Iran-Iraq war. Honestly, on day one, I was most pessimistic myself. Crushed. Terrified even. In shock. In awe. one has to admit moments of weakness. Part of me honestly thought we were done for and a new crushing Israeli era was dawning upon us in real time.

Ha-Ha. How the sands shift.

Search and rescue operation after Iran destroyed F-15E in Iranian borderlands:

- 2 Blackhawk helicopters hit and damaged, crew injured
- A-10 hit and destroyed (pilot ejected over Persian Gulf)

and 1 of the F-15's crew of 2 is still missing in Iran somewhere!

that's a good enough lesson to deter search and rescue operations.

Frustrating to see low flying helicopters targeted by assault guns. Surely a missed opportunity by Iranians to extract more cost. Imagine the PR victory if some of these helicopters were shot down killing SF guys. Nevertheless, overall a good day for Iran.
Balls of titanium!! Shooting BHs with aks, flying that low. HERSTALs could have fried these policemen.

What a humiliation today hope it continues.

Trumpy might blame it on the Indians and say the H1b visa was used inappropriately. Boy they made the Indian airforce proud today.

That bad smelly india body odour is making american military jets drop from the skies.
