There are tensions in Syria. Syria has been bombed by Israel many times in the past but more importantly Israel and US 'security concerns' are delaying Syrian reconstruction and development of the state.

Syrian leadership may find interest in a small skirmish to send message that Syria needs to rehabilitate or there won't be stability.

Not because of Iran, but it makes most sense to take such a gamble while Iran and Hezbollah are engaging Israel too.

Syria needs military and economic support from a regional country. If Turks hesitated to back the Syrian government then it is highly likely that Israel will capture all the strategic areas around Damascus and will continue to mow the lawn in Syria targeting Turkish interest more forcefully. Syria is going to become a playing ground of regional powers unless one side dominates.

Operational and tactical realities in Syria favor Turks, however it is still a question whether they are willing to confront the empire.

@Kyussis If this is one of our cluster munitions, I think 10kg-30kg is a pretty accurate estimate for its weight.

We should stop firing cluster warheads though. They seem ineffective for causing widespread damage and the Israelis are no longer intercepting them. It's a foolish tactic at this point.

These cluster warheads are meant for Air base suppression. Its the odd submunition that falls on Tel Aviv and other cities that get the publicity, making them look useless.
