If he was killed right around when he ejected then there wouldn't be such hunt to find him; dead bodies, with navigational/tracking devices are easier to locate than a person running and/or hiding in some ravine or caves. They were trying to rescue him using dangerous attempts because he was believed to be alive, at least then.
My guess is he is hiding and waiting to be rescued while following some 'protocols' or taken by the Iranian far from the site of the incident.
Iran should not mistreat him whether alive or dead: The public in America by a large majority not for this war and would appreciate a civil response from Iran. Pakistan did the right thing by treating the Indian pilot Abhinandan in 2019 and won many Indian hearts.

I agree with you. He fired the Head of Central Bank in Turkey when he advised him to increase the interest rate to prevent currency devaluation.

That aside, the whole concept that our central banks keep most of their forex reserves in US dollar gives the US a political leverage over our countries.
