I can tell you that here in Italy, generals, colonels and, generally speaking, former military personnel who speak on TV or online are largely in agreement that the American strategy makes no sense.

Unfortunately Iran do not have military capabilities to make Israel feel the heat. Which is why US and Israel are now moving to targeting their civilian infrastructure. Because Israel will not be at receiving end of retailaiton. But instead GCC will be.

It should be apparent by now Iran does not have this capability at the moment. Hezbollah may be intensifying their fire. We don't know.
