FM, COAS, CDF Syed Asim Munir does not need to be in Uniform for that purpose, I hope you are not under the impression that, He can only perfom his duties when in Uniform.

Why not indeed. And why even stop at China, both China and India can benefit from the pipeline. Peace and commerce in the subcontinent would be sufficient for the region to be better than even Europe within a few decades.

Pak-Iran relations have improved significantly over the years. Therefore, Pakistan's own capacity to convince Iran should not be sidelined. But the Chinese must definitely be in the background at all times. It would be unlikely of Pakistan not to keep them in the loop and to use that channel of communication/influence on and off. Only time will tell how much China contributed.

If the peace prevails and somehow Iran becomes the fifth member of the KSA-Pakistan-Turkey-Egypt group, that will completely upend the ME.

Not that India, an India which neither does politic on neighbours nor on Islam.

Basically, an India which is secular, tolerant and which has focus on an inclusive growth dream based on respect, trust and peace above all.
