Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

One needs to give Saudis some credit for shrewdness here, despite being heavily bombed by Iran they did not strike back and helped Pakistan a lot in getting both sides to the table, now Pak repaying the favour by reassuring the Saudis. This now can give you an idea of the panic in Abu Dhabi should things kick off again, they are literally defenceless....

  • Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed support for the Iranian negotiators in Pakistan, saying the delegation will “negotiate bravely” in defence of the country’s interests.

“In any case, our service to the people will not stop for a moment, and whatever the outcome of the negotiations, the government will stand by the people,” Pezeshkian wrote on X.

Pakistani aircraft deployment to Saudi Arabia highlights trust between two countries

    Reporting from Islamabad, Pakistan
The arrival of Pakistani air force jets and C-130s in Saudi Arabia signals that regional powers are already preparing for the possibility in case the Islamabad talks collapse, a defence analyst tells Al Jazeera.

The deployment, announced earlier today by the Saudi Ministry of Defense but yet to be commented upon by the Pakistani military, marks the first invocation of the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement (SMDA), signed between Riyadh and Islamabad in September 2025.

Under the pact, both countries committed to treating any act of aggression against one as an act of aggression against both.

“The deployment of a Pakistan Air Force contingent in eastern Saudi Arabia under the SMDA indicates that while talks are under way in Islamabad, regional actors are gearing up for the next phase of regional conflict should the talks fail,” Muhammad Faisal, a defence analyst at the University of Sydney, told Al Jazeera.

“Stakes are high for both the negotiators and the regional actors tracking developments.”

Faisal added that the deployment also reflected the depth of trust between the two countries. “The SMDA is being operationalised at the very moment Islamabad is hosting talks between Tehran and Washington. Saudi Arabia remains reassured about any outcome of the talks now,” he said.

𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢 | A protester breached the airside perimeter at Shannon Airport in Ireland, climbed onto the wing of a parked US Air Force C-130 Hercules and damaged the aircraft with what is believed to be a hammer, temporarily taking it out of service and forcing a brief airport closure before Gardaí arrested the individual.

The incident comes amid growing criticism of Shannon Airport’s role in facilitating US military transit and logistics operations linked to the US-Israeli war against Iran, with activists accusing the airport of enabling military movements through Irish territory.

expert level discussions have begun

did the US bring any experts? did someone tell Witkoff what a centrifuge is yet?

Sooner or later Israel will start with Syria. He knows as there are a sunrise each morning. Israel will never let a Syria becoming again a modern country with professional and modern army supported by Turkey.

But I agree he would never join the war against Israel. Turkey is a NATO country and will be expelled from all of structure of NATO; from decision making to logistics and cooperation pacts and agreements.

NATO is dead. EU need to improvise an army (it will take years and will be decaffeined) and therefore Turkey will look to East, with Pakistan as partner and mechanisms of understanding with Irán.

Israel it is out of control, anything can happen and Turkey cannot rely on US, the dying NATO and EU to stop Israel. So that means Turkey and Irán are doomed to understanding.

Irán has been successful implementing a strategy of impregnable missiles cities and ballistic missiles. And there can be cooperation between two countries to develop combined estrategies.
Italy will not allow it

So if the Iranian and American delegation meet in person, this will be a massive step and milestone in the right direction

JD Vance was the one senior official not so happy about the Iran war therefore the Iranians will want to keep things that way

Think total delegation is 150, many will be security and advisors but one can assume some experts on both sides as this would have been anticipated.

Really hoping the Iranians did not raise a detailed nuclear explanation and Vance is figuring out how to unmute himself as he gets on a Zoom call to Los Alamos.....
